Stabbing Westward is cool...prefer there more straight ahead music though.

Techno is great at parties and clubs, but not something I wanna listen to when I'm sitting by myself...

NIN, Stabbing Westward, and Gravity Kills are awesome. Too bad NIN is the only band still making music.

I know NIN/Trent Reznor are working on an album and Gravity Kills broke up... Stabbing Westward did break up but Chris Hall started a new band called The Dreaming...

Check out www.stabbingwestward.com for more information and links... The new stuff doesn't sound too bad...

I don't really care for Techno so much. I love Daft Punk, but I don't really consider them Techno. I think of them more as "Dance" music.

The same for NIN. I don't really consider NIN Techno, either. I think NIN is more Industrial, if anything.

Come to think of it, I love DJ Shadow, and he's Techno, I suppose. I also like Aphex Twin. :(

Another KICKIN' RAD group is The Postal Service, but they're IDM(Intelligent Dance Music). So is Toothpaste for Dinner (Drew). *__*

hey, elfofmirkwood, i used to really be into techno/trance/electronic. i still like it, but haven't been following any current stuff in a long time. i'm too lazy to look through my cd's right now to give you some suggestions, but i'll try to get around to it tomorrow or so. it would help to know your taste in techno, would you happen to know what particular techno sound you're into? any movies with prominent techno soundtracks you were into, like mortal kombat, matrix or blade? well, i'll try to give you some suggestions tomorrow.

oh, i can say off the top of my head though, a couple of my favorite techno cd's are the wipeout xl soundtrack with songs like we have explosive by future sound of london and atom bomb by fluke, and future: a journey through the elctronic underground, an awesome 2-cd compilation featuring the song, extremis by hal with vocals by gillian anderson.
