What Was Your First Cd?

My first CD was Black Sabbath "Sabotage," and I got it in '93 in the 8th grade. Man do I miss those days. Nothing to worry about.

Don't feel bad. It was not bad of an album, and that was before he became a freak. But it is still an essential late '80s classic. Ahhh, the memories of those carefree days.

I'm not sure, but I think I was still buying tapes up until that point.

 

That'd be my best guess, anyway.

 

Guns & Roses' Use Your Illusion 1 and 2 would be pretty early on the list too.

 

Metallica's Black Album too.

 

But the first cd that *became* mine was likely my mother's copy of Prince's Purple Rain. It was so different from the metal and grunge I'd been listening to at the time that I fell in love with it for its eccentricity.

 

So what have we leared, kids?

 

That's right... I actually have NO idea what my cd was. Class dismissed.

My first CD was 'Garth Brooks: Ropin' The Wind' and I bought it in 92.

 

Go ahead and laugh, but it's true. I was 14 at the time and all my mother would let me listen you was Country Music and Oldies, everything else was "Devil Music". But when I got older I realized that there was other music out there that was a lot better and I have nave been back to Country music ever since.

I remember those, I got few Beatles cd's packaged like that.

 

I believe my first cd was, would you believe, the first double disk Star Wars soundtrack. (anybody surprised, lol)

it's hard to say exactly what my first cd was. i got my very first cd with several cd's when my brother and i ordered them from the columbia house music club. i don't remember exactly which ones i got anymore, but i'm sure guns' appetite for destruction and maybe a megadeth album were in there... '87-'88-ish.

I got my first cd in 1999 @loll@ cause thats when I got a cd player for the first time. I did one of those 12 cds for a dollar club things and the first cd i picked out was "Bruce Springsteens Greatest Hits."

Uncle Toms Cabin is still one of my all time favorite songs.
