Check Out These Stats

1000 yards rushing is a good season for a RB.

100 rec is a good season for a WR.

Tomlinson had both.

Over 1600 yards rushing which 2nd in the AFC and is 3rd or 4th in the NFL

100 receptions which led EVERYONE in the AFC and was 4th OVERALL in the NFL.

And he missed the probowl.

yeah, those are awesome stats.. but I still don't think he deserved to go over:

Priest Holmes (possible NFL MVP)

Jamal Lewis (2,000+ yards, second all-time)

Clinton Portis (much better team, which he carried)

it sucks, in the NFC, LT would have been the best RB.. but thats the way it goes sometimes.

Out of all the major stats TD, REC, Ru Yards, and Rec Yards LT is the ONLY back out of the AFC probowlers that was in the top three in EVERY catagory.

Id have left out Portis. Clinton is good but LT lead him in every catagory.

I agree that LT is better then Clinton portis (look to quentin griffon to see that some of clinton's accomplishments can be attributed to that O-Line) but, Portis is on a playoff team with a better record and the pro bowl is nothing more then a popularity contest and a running back on a pretty hot 10-6 team gets more exposure and recognition then one on a struggling 4-12 team.

but, LT is the better back just needs a better cast....he could be the next barry sanders in fact. hopefully they'll get better so he doesn't go unnoticed

Yeah, Tomlinson should have been in the Pro Bowl over Portis. He WAS the Chargers this season. At least Denver had some variety in their playmakers. With Tomlinson's stats, I wouldn't be surprised if he walked away with being on the All-Pro team though.
