Sick Of Rs Commercialization?

If you are sick of the way Rolling Stone magazine has sold their souls to the music industry in the last 5 years especially, try Blender, I just started subscribing and they tell it like it is!

Same deal with PSM over the Official Playstation magazine!

I used to like OPM's ability to be critical of even the most hyped games, but the're not like that any more. They gave FF X-2 a perfect score, and gave it the biggest hype job I've ever seen in that magazine, telling me they've changed and are now using their reviews to promote instead of honestly analyze. FF X-2 got majorly hpyed because it's one of the very few PS2 games that came out this holiday season that didn't get delayed until next year, so Sony really needs to sell the hell out of it, hence the perfect score and the hype job being done by that magazine. So in other words, their "reviews" are now tied in to sales they'd like to hope for.

RS is garbage. In their top 100 greatest guitarists list, they filled it with wankers who can't even play, like Kurt Cobain, who got rated higher than just about everyone. They sell mainstream to the mainstream, and that makes them incapable of being fair and subjective.

OPM was good for awhile, I agree. They sold their souls for sure.

My dad says Rolling Stone hasn't always been so BS as it is now, that's why I said they "sold out," maybe they were never independent so they were sold from the start, I dunno.

Try Blender though, they don't kiss arse to anyone, even people who do spreads and interviews for them.
