Which Heavy-duty Do You Prefer

Probably VvV even if I do hate the mold. Seriously though, does this guy really deserve to have so many remakes?

The VvV one is alright....it is one of the better molds and paint jobs out of Wave 9.Though I don't like how it seemed Hasbro was shoving Heavy Duty down our throats as the replacement for Roadblock.He was showing up in the comic,various Wave 1 repaints....all over the place.I hope Roadblock is in the VvV movie and not more of Heavy Duty.

I wouldnt mind seeing the original mold one more time provided he can get good colors. Especially if you can give him his original gear too.

I hear what you are saying but I love Heavy Duty and Roadblock both. I just ignore Hasbro trying to make them almost the same. I just think of him like his RAH incarnations were. I hope to see both in the VvV movie and both have big roles.

 

And this is the Heavy Duty I really like. I'm really surprise that no one else seems to like him as much as me.

Definitely this one for me too. One of the coolest weapon systems in Joe history; it's right after the Rock & Roll v2 mini-gun system. They are the reasons why I bought both figures, back in the day. Both figures having good sculpts was a nice bonus.

same here. this beats them all hands down IMO. he actualy looks like he could kick some ass. all JVC versions looked kinda wimpy to me not to mention his arms look to long and his middle torso to short on the last two versions.

We have ROADBLOCK and HEAVY DUTY both..right now...in the JvC and VvV lines.

Like Doc stated, they're pretty much both Black characters, and that's about all the similarity between them. I don't count weapon accessories much as an indicator of anything, especially nowadays, seeing how they just throw them in almost randomly.

 

I think HD is pretty cool on his own merit. That first version of him (I posted) was pretty awesome, and like 8speed noted, the weapon itself ROCKED!!

Yeah and I liked the hat and the fact that he had a gotee painted on. Made him look cooler imo.

I would only shell out money for it had his original gear intact. Otherwise, it'd be completely pointless to me.

JvC wave 1 WITH an O-Ring would be THE best HD made.

 

Of course we wont see that as that would make to much sense. Wave 1's HD head kicks ass........

Whatever his original ARAH version 1 file card stated, would be the best one to adhere to. Anything printed after that, in the return of the Joe characters in the form of JvC..Spy Troops or even Venom vs Valor, would be such a mixed-up, jumbled-up bunch of gobblety goop, that it would be hard to understand much of ANYTHING. @lol@

 

At one time, in the return of G.I.Joe, the Roadblock codename may have been unavailable or something, and it was decided by some rookie somewhere, that HD is Big and Black and can be the NEW RB instead!

 

that's why it's best to go with his original "job" description.
