Excellent finds bluecyclone,

I wish I lived in the States instead of Canada...that way I could at least be excited about going to Wal-Mart or Toys R Us...but here we don't get much (if anything).

I did go to a comic book shop and purchased a Clone Wars Clonetrooper (the super articulated one). I am very impressed by it and have to rank it among the top 10 in my collection :D

Sorry to steal a little of your thunder bc!!! Congrats again on the excellent finds!!!

A little off of topic but....does anyone have the POTF2 Wampa figure? I can't remember if it's arm was also removable....my recollection is that you could pull it off...but it's been a long time since I've looked at it. I bought one back in the late 90s when it first came out...but since my collection is all boxed in the basement, it's hard to find and pull out the figure.

Nah, I just wish we had American stores in Canada, then plight the Americans with our halfassed stores, they have not yet felt the horrors of Zellers.

Yep, it's removable. The other arm is spring-loaded for cold-cocking Luke.

Thank you very much.

The pod alone makes it worth the price of admission. Im glad it can hold Artoo as well. And 3PO is one of the better thought out repaints Ive seen. The tarnished metal looks good. A full chromed gold version might be cool.

Was this same mold used for that Hoth base Protocol droid? Wish I had bought that when it was out.

I bought the Wampa and Rieekan yesterday at Wal Mart. Love 'em both. Passed on the C3PO. When I first opened the Wampa, I was a little nervous because the arms and legs are a hollow rubber -- think squeaky toy for your pet. But, it is of very good quality, much better than I thought for only $10. I think it was mentioned earlier too that the cards are of a higher quality. Very sturdy.

Someone also mentioned the Hoth protocal droid. If it 's the one I am thinking of, you can buy it here -- non-mint only, MOC is sold out.

K-3PO

PS - No, I don't work for Yestertoys, but I highly reccommend their site if you've never ordered from them. They are a great place to find some of the later POTF2 figures at a decent price.

Nah, this 3PO is the same as the one from the C-3PO/Battle Droid conveyor belt 2-pack. And just like that one the limbs & head are still removable. But it's worth it, as you said, for the escape pod alone. @firedevil@

I saw them at Wal-Mart tonight; unfortunately (or thankfully, 'from a certain point of view',lol ;) ), they didn't have the Wampa. I had aleady spent more than I planned to, when by WM. They had the "Ultra" figures all the way down at the end of the aisle all by themselves; They only had 2 Riekkan's and 3 3-PO's After holding the figures, it's obvious the cardstock is a lot thicker; althogh, one of them still had a lot of creases on the back. I didn't really check them out that well, because I wasn't planning on buying them; but, it was still cool to see them. :) I'm kinda glad they did have any Wampas because I know I would've wanted to buy one; but, without a Hoth Luke (no sign of that wave so far), I didn't see a point (or at least, that's what I tried to tell myself, lol)

Hoth Luke is out there my friend, and if he has hit me here in the NE he should be just about everywhere. You might regret not getting those two Ultra figures, both are really nice. We had about 12 at my Wal-Mart and they didn't last between the time I checked before school and ran back during lunch (cuz they had loads of boxes to be put out and I was already late for class so couldn't wait)

Trust me, I would've liked to have gotten them (Riekkan has been on my 'wish list' for years); but, I'm trying to hold out on some things, so I'll definately have money ready for others... The Wampa/Luke (among a number of other 'higher priority' figures), the Spring exclusives (planning ahead ;) ), and whatever else might be coming down the road.... I know I'm taiking a chance by passing on certain figures; I've missed out on quite a few because things didn't seem to time out quite right. Oh well.
