Nova Gijoe Theives Be Warned

I saw with my own eyes for the first time these theives handy work were they buy some new JvC figures and then take the good figure out and replace them with beat up old RAH figures dressed up in Spy Gear stuff and then return them to the store to be placed back on the shelf. I saw 3 such 2-packs at the Tysons TRU today. I have informed the store manager of the situation and I think they will be on the look out for this now so I would advise not tring to pull this BS anymore.

Well not only is it just outright theft its stupid theft. Not like these are worth anything or that hard to find. Even beat up the figures they are using to replace the JvC ones are probably worth more.

I've said this before, but I know a guy that use to do that stuff like that all of the time. I think he has stopped because I would use to go into a store and see his handy work all the time, but not any more.

Funny story... I found 2 pack once that had a figure missing... Someone ripped it open and stole the figure so I showed it to the Manager and he asked me if I wanted it... Half Off!

@lol@ Well, did you take him up on his offer?

The Gung-Ho/Lady Jaye pack I saw was CLEARLY retaped with regular scotch tape.I think it was a quick trade and swap job on the spot. But if the person had bought the set and then took the Zarana and then taped it back up,then the TRU employee working the "Returns" must've been REALLY stupid.Because the pack was clearly retaped.

Dont no about CC and NC's find but the ones I saw today it was obvious they had tried to pull a fast one. They carfully covered the figures up by dressing them in Spy Gear masks and stuff so you couldn't see the actual figure that well. I can just see these guys plotting crimes when they are older. Ok Joe we are gonna break into this bank and steal all the bundles of $1 bills and we are gonna replace them with bundles of $5 bills so no one ever realizes we took anything. @loll@

I think that if we ever catch one of these SOBs in the act, we should make an example out to them by sticking a bunch of T-crotch and Action Attack figures up there @sses. What do you guys think?

The total stupidity of this is what boggles my mind. I'm still trying to figure out the logic as to why one would do this.

Basically they do it for the army building, from what ive seen.

I see this around Clarksville, TN alot, and it usually involves a replaced Cobra Viper, Iron Grenadier, or Cobra Sand Viper--yes, the army builders. Its pathetic and makes my blood boil.

I sure wish I could walkinto a store and see where someone switched stuff in my favor, i.e. 2 Cobra Vipers in a Viper pack or 2 Cobra BATS or something @loll@ that would be nice.

JayC: Im glad you addressed that to the manager. I wonder if s/he will do anything about it.

At first I thought "Hasbro should put PICTURES of the figures on the packs so the drones who take them back can actually recognize when its the wrong figure in the pack.

---then I realied hasbro DOES do that, starting with wave 5 and up. So to me, the problem is not just in the half wits that do this act, but the drones who take the product and GIVE THE MONEY BACK! They should teach them better.
