Ftwp: Are Bats Still In Cobra?

I'm not sure what to do with my legions of BATs. Keep them in Cobra or make a Coil group. Does Cobra have any BATs left? If not, I have to start building more viper troops to make up for the big gap all the departing BATs are gonna make!

Sorry to hurt the New Comic fans but I think the new Comics are Crap. The originals Comics are cool because they had the concept in mind now it is just about retelling the story and changing things around.

Well in the DD comic series The Coil is a new splinter group started by Serpentor who has returned and is tring to take things over. Basically he and his cronnies have been secretly siphoning off resources from Cobra to build their own army. The Coil use a symbol similar to the one you see on some of the new JvC figures. Not the Cobra head symbol but that one you see on the legs of some of the new Cobra figures, the one that looks like a snake.

Oh and for the question Bats are robots so you can have them on both sides. Mindbender currently seems to have joined Coil so I would say the newer models would be on the Coil side and the older versions on Cobra.

HELLOO??? are you even reading the new comic book? They aren't retelling the same stuff at all. Besides issues 19-21 it's been a great book. And frontline was even better.

 

Now G.i.joe reloaded, that's retelling the same crap. and if you tell me you like that you loose all crediablity.

It's your Joe Universe man, do whatever you want to with them. You can even say the some BATs where captured by the Joes and reprogramed to be on their side. It's all up to you, your only limit is your imagination.

I think you mean iguana. But in essence he was taken out of the picture and should have remained there. It rather cheapens the climax of one the more interesting storylines in the old book.

No, he doesnt HAVE to. But then I dont think ANYONE feels the way they do about the comic because they HAVE to. Thats simply how he feels, and I cant say I fault him for it.

I was never a fan of Serp, but I support the new comic and if it's really him (we can't be 100% sure!) then I will accept their decision.

 

So far, I have done what some of you suggested and keep my ARAH BATs and the 6-pack BATs in Cobra and the new upgrades in Coil. I even went in the basement and dug out my old Overlord figure last night!

 

I am kinda skeptical about Re-loaded, I liked Frontline a lot and am sorry to see it go. But until we see it, we shouldn't bash it too much. I will at least give it a chance!

I used to like serpy but love cobra commander much more, that is slowly changing. Think about how evil serpy is? He is a perfect idol! evil men made there own dark God to worship, that is just beyond cool to me.

well i think the idea of serpentor having his own crew is stupid. how can a dead man build an army big enough to rival cobra? even if he had loyal followers that did it for him than what does that say about serpentor, he had an army handed to him while CC built his own empire from the ground up like a true soldier and leader. to me, the only one that could pull this off nicely is destro. next thing you know tomax/xamot and the crimson guards will be breaking away from cobra (if this hasn't already happened @rolleye@) in my universe the coils is an elite soldier, i will not be army building him and the BATS will continue to remain a part of cobra.

I like CC because he is a well-rounded character, I don't hate Serpy, but I will always pledge my allegiance to CC!
