The impresion I got was that Reloaded will Primarily use the JvC/VvV characters, and that the overall idea was to have a comic that more closely matches the current Toyline (which would be good on several levels as the JvC-only characters need more fleshing out). Quite where the concept art seen recently fits in I'm not sure...

Well, that's what I thought about it too before the official news broke. According to all the interviews and concept art and stuff, Reloadsd is a complete restart of G.I. Joe that is meant to appeal to the older crowd, being more serious and less cartoony. Based on the writers involved, it will probably be very dark and heavy on the politics. I think it's more of a real world Joe as opposed to the high adventure and borderline sci-fi of the original series.
