Who Should Lead The Decepticons?

Hi, just wanted to post another topic on the boards. O.K. when it comes down to it. Who is the best choice for leadership of the Decepticons? Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave? Who? Personally Ihink (as far as generation 1), Megatron is the best choice? Why? Because he's ruthless, mercilless, and the most cunning. Time after time he shows why he's their leader. But that's just my opinion. What's yours. Cobra_Saboteur.

I choose Megatron for the same reasons you explained above.

 

A replacement for Megatron would be Shockwave.

Shockwave should be the leader. the other 3 have definate flaws and shockwave is in my opinion the most qualified to lead.

I'm sure that if Shockwave were put in charge his flaws would slowly be revealed as well....no one is perfect.

Yes he has flaws and isn't perfect but he's the best choice of the bunch.

BY far the choice is Starscream. He is the more ruthless than all 3 combined. Megatron had many chances to destroy the Autobots but ALWAYS tipped his hand and wanted to watch Prime suffer. Thus allowing thr autobots to escape. SS was always ready to destroy them but Megs wanted to wait.

Really though Screamer had the ambition but not the power. And thus none of the respect that Megatron had. Megatron had the power, the troops that obeyed him primarily out of fear, but really he wasn't much for tatics or planning. For the few good plans that he had, he had a number that were so stupid that they were bound to fail. Starscream was bloodthirsty and many times his desire to kill the Autobots instead of putting them into some spy movie elaborate scheme to kill them and then leave, would ahve been favored. However he didn't have anything that he needed to carry it out. Prime would have kicked his butt one on one, and alot of the troops would have betrayed them. Shockwave had the power, the planning, but lacked the charisma that a leader needs. Perhaps he would have been the best battlefield commander, but I don't think he could rally the troops.

 

The best leader would be someone that did the minimum to do the job completely, without risking the lives of his troops stupidly. The best leader would have destroyed Teletran 1 before leaving the Ark, or destroyed all the bots inside it. He would have known that if Teletran could have brought them back surely it would the Bots as well. He also wouldn't necessarily abandon a plan that would have suceeded if not for the meddling of a few kids. He would have loyalty to his troops and have loyalty from them, and would have them following his orders because they believed in him and not because they felt disobeying would get them slagged. He would also have the power to prevent anyone like Starscream from trying it, and wouldn't hesitate to use it. Basically the Cons should be led by someone like Prime, that believed in the Decepticon cause completely, that they're purpose was to rule all and all live was there to be their servants or die, and be blood thirsty enough to eliminate those that stood in his way.

as for the Decepticon leader goes.. I'd have to go for Soundwave.. or Shockwave.

 

For ultimate power, I'd make Soundwave and Shockwave duke it out to the finish to see the true leader.

Shockwave, or Scorponok. Shockwave is a proven leader, taking the mantle from Megatron, manipulating him and ruling the Decepticons pretty damn well. Scorponok was also leader, and seemed talented at the time.

Really if you had someone like Galvatron's power, starscreams ambitions and rage, but with some logic like shockwave you would have a real winner.
