My Theory on Wave 8 Ripcord Figure

Ok........Well we all know he isnt gonna be in the wave.....

 

First off the ProtoType of RipCord was Auctioned off, this dosen't mean hasbro lost the mold they just sold the prototype...........so i think from this we can say.....No RipCord in wave 8 :cry: , Why? Well we all know because of Wal Mart not liking the paracute...kids choke or sufficate on it or something, But this mold is perfect for a ripcord Figure and i tihnk hasbro really wants to make him with a ParaCute, so I think Hasbro will either try to release him in a later wave with a "Safer" ParaCute in wave 9/10 or something or As a TRU exclusive ORRRRR a Mail In offer ...........

 

 

Now as for SGT airborne......i think he will replace Ripcord and come with the tele- Viper, i think SGT Airborne will just be a whole new mold since they Knew the Ripcord mold is not a SGT Airborne

The 'chute was a fire hazard and because of U.S. laws they can not release it in a kids market. :roll: Remember the good old days before everything was kid proof? :wink: Hopefully they will come up with a better design and we will see Ripcord soon.

The uber-sucky thing is that Brandon already used the wave 8 Ripcord as Ripcord in his arc...so now I MUST HAVE HEEEEM!

Some names that I've been waiting to use in lue of crappy ones, i.e. Red Spot, thanks to the creativity over at DD about five months ago. (I've already renamed the RAHC Leatherneck as Spartan.) The s/n's are all from the DD members with them. NOTE: Someone else may also have thought of said names, I'm not really checking. In any event, these are my favorites that may or may not end up getting used:

 

Skarapz's: Eraser, Constrictor, Wildman, Sundance, Roadkill

Mine: Spartan, Scourge, Nightstick, Ravage

Kamakura's: Katana, Napalm

Beach Head v2's: Afterburner, Virus, Glacier

Skyfire's: Stormcloud

Flagg's: Sureshot, Rollbar

A-MAN's: Bullseye, Highway, Hotwire

Shotodrag: Shuriken, Nomad, Spoiler

Pit Viper's: Sidewinder

 

Needless to say, names like Sureshot, Bulleye...even Eraser or Pointblank (hey, we have Crosshair(s) already ) would've worked better than ANOTHER Joe name that has so many...rectal connotations.

 

At least Hama didn't make his partner Skidmark. :lol:

I interviewed the two Hasbro reps at Wizard World Chicago for GIJoePrices and Frankel shed's a bit more light on the subject. (Acutally you guys have most of it right.) I will post the interview about the middle of this week so keep an eye out.
