How hard is it to get the exclusives?

I have heard from some poeple already that it has been difficult trying to get both the Mattel Keldor and BAtman. Apparently you can only buy one or the other, not both, and they are being raffled off instead of first come first serve. Is this true? If so, that sucks! Also, how hard is it to get the other exclusives, I.E. Silver Fett and Marvel MiniMates?

Man that sucks! i feel bad for eveyone there who was trying to get a Keldor. Adn also for those who had hopes of getting Keldor and Batman. What is the sense in allowing only one or the other to be bought??

somebody here was supposed to pick me up one because he didn't want it for himself.. but I doubt now that he would even go through all that crap just to have the CHANCE to get one :roll:

 

so dumb.. the GiJoe Convention items were handeled very nicely.

 

The convention started Friday morning.. and everybody who came when it started was able to get whatever they wanted. It should have been the same way at SDCC. Why didn't they just make twice that amount?? they still would have all sold at the conventions, and it wouldn't have cost them more money because they would be earning it back.

 

why does Mattel care how much a figure sells for on ebay?? they are just creating a scalpers market by doing it this way

not really.. at least Before they decided to do a raffle.. a collector could control their own destiny. If they really wanted Keldor, all they had to do was get there early enough to get in line.. Now, it doesn't matter.. you have no way of making sure you get one.

 

And now they will be even more expensive on ebay, because people know how hard they were to get. Most people would do all that crap to get a figure for themselves.. so they would probably give up.. but scalpers see $$$ and they don't even mind the effort.. thats what they do all day!

 

So now there will be more on ebay, for even higher prices

I'm just glad I put my name on that list at He-Man.org. hopefully that all goes well and I get my Keldor that way. Although I'm getting a bit nervouse because no one has contacted me yet. Marzo, do you know anything about what's going on with that?

Over on ebay, it looks like the price for the Batman exclusive has peaked at around $60 (unless it's the signed version). I don;t think anyone is going to pay more at this time.

 

I remember at last year's con, the only figure that had any value was the Goldsword Heman. All the other exclusives were initially overpriced on ebay and all waned after a few weeks. For example the Ivory Mark from Battle of the planets reached a lowly $9.99 BIN on ebay.

I don't know about the Kirk figure but the Lara Croft exclusives will be even harder to get simply based on the production numbers. Only 300 of each Lara Croft exclusive were being produced for the con as opposed to the few thousand of Keldor.

My only suggestion is to stay away from the auctions that indicate presales and stick to the auctions that offer the exclusive "In Hand".

Of course. It just depends on how much the exclusive is worth to you. To me, Keldor isn't worth $20 let alone $150+. Sure I'd like one for my collection but not that badly.

Keldor is going for $100 + on ebay. That is down right ridiculous!

You know what I'm laughing at? All those that have presold keldors on ebay & cashed the MO's & spent them!! Now they will either have send all that $ back or deal with lotsss of people hounding them.
