What event are the pics from? (It doesn't strike me as SDCC, given that the pictures before and after the Transformers in number are definitely Japanese... that and the Japanese labeling kind of clued me in )

Why Smokescreen? Do the Japanese love this guy or something? He's recieved a Takara rerelease, now a new figure... and as I recall, he was in the same "Who the F are you?" boat as Skids and Reflector's unique members.

Didn't even notice the first time I looked at the Smokescreen pics, but there's yet another thing I've wanted: proper storage for the weapons when in vehicle mode: the weapon is the car's engine!

 

Compared to this and the Optimus, Armada looks like a bunch of GoBots.

The Smokescreen seems to be part of the Alternators, which, from what we've heard for a while now, should be a line available here next year or so. Who knows? -
