I was told that some people on a he man forum bitched and mattel is now making 500 more keldors and giving them to the bitchers!

In all honsety..I never thought I was going to get one myself..I believed that I was indeed entering a contest months ago to win one of the few that someone was going to try to obtain for the contest winners..needless to say that I was quite shocked to hear the news the following day

it's tough to give everyone a keldor that bitches about it. sure i want one, but i doubt that i'll be able to get one even though i have someone going to the comic con and having all their friends enter the raffle to get one for me.

 

i am not expecting to get one. i want it even more now that i see that the line may be going in a cartoony direction that i don't like. not much we can do, really.

 

before i knew about the raffle to get one i was under the impression my buddy was going to be able to get 2 for me. i was going to sell it to someone on this board a lot cheaper than ebay. now i'll just be lucky to get one for me. *crosses fingers*

I agree with you Vena14, Icephoniex, but there is a possibilitywe might get a repackaged one of Keldor which I highly doubt.,Mattel should have split it evenly some to us some to the heman forums and the other collecting sites its not right that others can't get him that can't go all the way to Chicago, or Sandiego just for Keldorwell may be in the future Mattle will learn from their mistake. Well why don't they just make 12 billion Keldors, so that everyone in the world can have one loose and one mint on card, and then go door to door and give them out for free while they're at it, Captain Logic?

 

It is COMPLETELY "fair," in the same way that the Muppets wedding set from a year or so ago being given away as wedding gifts to the guests at one of the designers wedding was "fair." Mattel decided to make 500 extra figures, and to sell them to this online community that is He-Man specific. What's so wrong with that? Nothing. Except for the fact that you're jealous that they get one, and you don't, so you have to cry about it.

 

You know what's really funny? A month ago, everyone here was crying about how Mattel owes He-Man.org for being a wealth of information and for being the one thing that was keeping the toyline afloat (*rolls eyes*). And most people have been crying ever since the toyline started that "MATTLE DOSE NOT CARE 4 THERE FANZZZZZ!!!!!!!!" Yet when they do something both to support He-Man.org AND to make their fans/collector community happy, what do you do? YOU #@$#@ ABOUT IT!

 

God, I'm so tempted to just give up on bothering with boards anymore. Talking about toys is so much more fun in real life, because all of my friends don't cry like children whenever the slightest thing doesn't go their way...

we may get a repackaged keldor, but probably not one that looks this impressive. damn, by then he could look like the tick with exagerated everything if they continue in the direction of the cartoony design the snake men are going.

I also was one on the list. I never "bithced" as you put it, I put my neame on a list for poeple who wanted a Keldor figure.

 

He-Man.org and Mattel work a lot together. Val from .org and Jeremy Padawar from Mattel have done a lot together for the fans of MOTU. I think it is perfectly fair for He-Man.org to get an exclusive.

 

I will now close this topic, as I will not have any type of negativity towards He-Man.org on these forums. Plus there is no reason you should be upset that Mattel made more they were going to do they could distribute to many real fans of the line. Anyone can go to He-Man.org, so everyone had a chance to put there name on the list. So complaining about the "complainers" is pointless.

Well, doesn't hurt to add your name to the He-Man.org list.  

If we do manage to get a handful, you could be one of the people who has their name drawn.  Then you wouldn't have to pay eBay prices.

Actually Im gonna reopen this cause as long as you keep it cival people can express their opnion.

 

Basically the way you have to look at it it there is no way Mattel can send out figures to every person on every website. The fact is I hope everyone all over the internet feels they can come to ADC to get all the latest breaking toy news including news about MOTU products but the fact is ADC is not a MOTU fan site and does not serve the online community in the way He-Man.org does, So He-Man.org is the logical choice for something like that and I support the effort. I think its very cool that Mattel and He-Man.org were able to make an arrangement to help collectors who can't attend the cons get some of these figures.

 

Now as far as ADC readers are concerned I can't offer you all 500 Keldors but I am working on putting together some surprises in our SDCC forum give away contests coming later this week. Keep an eye on this section for more details.
