Small Update. Completed swords for my Image/DD Storm Shadow

Finally finished this off, the remolded sword broke again so I just glue the old ones back. The painting on the swords didn't come out good due to the fragility and I didn't want to F it up again.

This is still my favorite GI Joe custom ever! The swords and sheath really turned out great and make this kickass custom that much fuggin better. How many hours worth of work did you put into this thing?

How many hours worth of work did you put into this thing?

 

Can't remember exactly, but took me around 2-3 weeks of 2-3 hours per day of actual work. A lot of waiting for the epoxy-putty to dry and also how to make it, which is why it took so long. The swords+ sheath is only took about 1 hour to make but the swords keeps breaking while sanding it down. So it's mostly repainting/remolding the swords + laziness that took me some time to finish them.

This is just another custom that it came out Ok I guess. Some of my customs on my site look like sh*t, but I just move on to work on other customs. The fun part to me is actually the wasting my time doin it, the completed is just a bonus if it comes out OK...

Hehe ... the only real skill I have is being able to use 90% vulgar words in sentences in my dialect ... which is why I was always told to use listerine by my friends ... and then I'll just saw that I'm not a hooker(they do buy listerines by the dozens) ...

I did get offers for this custom ranging from US$ 15 to above 1K but I don't sell my customs cus it's done for myself. My wife says I should sell, I told her if I die, just put it up on ebay and start it at US$ 1 and donate the money to someone. The other problem for me is no matter how much money I have, I'll still end up having to pay mega gambling debts by family member which is still owing around US$ 150K. I F-kin hate Casinos, it F up my life bad ...

so should the person that offered a grand. it's funny how people with money to burn think that others will do anything for it. I guess it's hard for some people to understand that others do things, like making custom figures, just for the enjoyment of doing them and not for profit.
