Few hundred since many are still in stores. Better to sell as a lot than individual. $400 maybe $500 but who really knows. Just make sure you put a reserve on it if you do it on Ebay.

How much are you trying to get for it???

Thanx for the estimate, I was planning to sell it as one big lot, that would be great if I coulg get 400-500 dollars for it, but that seems extremely hopeful. I am going away to college and I am in desperate need of money right now. What should I set the reserve on ebay at ? Thank to all those who help

set it at what u want to get out of it man, then that way if it doesnt go that high then you dont have to sell it, and be sure to post pics so people can see, and if you do sell it, Ebay gets a percentage of what u sell it for

I was selling all my BW stuff towards the end of BW and a guy offered me $500 for the lot. However I wised up and didnt sell. Boy am I glad.

I hope you know what your doing. Many people have sold stuff and regreted it when they get older. Remember you get student loans and can get odd jobs. Eventually you will wish you didnt do it. Remember once the money is gone, its like you never had them :(

You said $400 is hopefull, what are you expecting?

Honestly I dont know what I was expecting in a way of price, obviuosly the more the better, I have put a lot time and money into building my collection. You make a good point about regretting it later, I not sure if I want to sell , but the money is so damn tempting. Do you think that I could sell some to comic book stores or would they just rip me off??

Would anyone be interested in purchasing individual pieces ?

You should sell individually. You get more money that way. The figures that don't sell then you can put them together in a lot (a crappy lot) but you may get bids on it.

Hey Bruticus,

I think Planet Toys on Arapahoe might give you a good deal, make sure you have a price in mind when they ask you for an offer. E-mail me if you need the address or phone #. Mile HIgh Comics will give you a good deal if you want store credit. If you decide against selling and want to continue collecting TF's PM me, I work at TRU in Aurora and have been saving things for some of the other collectors out here, I'm also applying for a HAsbro rep position, but I haven't heard back yet!

bruticus,

as a person that just recently sold a major part of his tf collection, all I can say is, if you have no other options to raise money then by all means sell. But, if you can --hold on to those tf's! I sold a bunch of my sruff and the money lasted me about 2 weeks and then I was left with nothing, and now I'm kicking myself for ever selling my stuff. :-?

Hey Bruticus,I just wanted to give you my two cents here about selling your collection to a comic store.

The comic store business is tough as it is,seldomly do comic stores really get to grow and expand, either with their own stock or the store themselves. It just depends on the diligence and patience of the owners.A local comic store I used to go to went out of business a few years ago and the pizza place next to it expanded over into its original spot. But another comic store, the one I go to now,has since expanded.I remember when it was extremely small, but the business next to it left and they were able to expand over into that 'room'.They're quite successful now and I like going there regularly because they got virtually everything.

I've also tried to sell things to them, old comics and such, and let me tell you, that's one thing I kind of dislike.Though comic store owners are eager to make money and spend money on ordering products from their distributors...they can be reluctant to spend money to purchase things from people and usually they'll make sure they get it cheap from you so they can label it for a little more than it's really worth.I don't know about Mile High Comics, but I'd have to recommend AGAINST selling your figures to an "independent" comic store...especially since you got a lot of recent stuff that is already in stores.I'd think that they'd be more likely to just turn you down than accept any of the stuff.

Thanks for your honesty Cobra Commander. I really appreciate you helping me out here. Do you think that I would have a better chance on ebay? Also how much do you think I should set the reserve at for the lot?

Also if you are interested in any transformers I can save them for you. Thanks again you saved me a 45 min. trip only to be turned down.

dont do ebay! just sell them here in pieces! you stand a better chance of making more money! more people can aford to shell out smaller amounts of money for a figure they want! not a large amount of money for a large lot when all they need is 2 figures!

I COMPLETELY argree with cobra commander, DO NOT go to a comic book store, they will MOST likely buy your stuff for pennies on the dollar, then mark it 200%. I think Morbo can vouch that there is a comic store in san antonio called alien world that has BEAT DOWN P.O.S transformers that they still are trying to sell for like 100! with the tfs you have It would be better to do group lots on ebay of 4 or 5 and set the price for about 10 dollars under you would actually like the lot to go for but not set a reserve.
