What's TFs best era. Take into consideration comics, tv, toys, and all that goes with those things. ie. articulation, paint, both modes, etc. etc.

I said RID. I only have a few of the mold from the era, but I feel that they were not only close to G1 production, but also threw in articulation. I recently finished watching the RID series and thought that it was pretty good too.

G1 because its classic characters and storylines that defined anything that came after it. Armada, RID or beastcrap would not have existed if G1 had not been such a huge success.

Beast Machines, although would count BW and BM as one. Toys were good and the best cartoon ever.

You are right. The 1st and 2nd season of that show were outstanding. The characters were very well developed and the storyline was always interesting enough. Armada has a good plot, accurate toys and a comic that I cnat judge because I havent read it yet. G1 was good, but it lacked of continuity beetwen their own series. Like characters poping out from nowhere like Powerglide and Cosmos.

I chose Victory. Technically, it's still an extension of G1 in the Japanese series, and Wheeljack and Minerva (Masterforce) even made appearances in it. Plus, Liokaiser was by far the best gestalt ever in terms of both the toy and the cartoon character, who was quite possibly the deadliest gestalt ever. Star Saber was a cool "general commander" as the Japanese seem to call him, and he was the first Autobot leader who could combine with someone else (RiD owes Omega Prime to Victory Saber). I also liked the idea of the war stretching to all regions of space. Overall, it was the most ambitious series, and IMHO, the best.

I'd like to think that Headmasters is part of G1. Being that Optimus and most of the maincore characters are still around when that series came out. Targetmasters included.

I hate picking a favorite, but I went with Beast Wars.

It got me back into Transformers, in general. If it wasn't for the plethora of figures and quality show, I doubt I'd be the lunatic I am today. So I owe it to BW, or should I blame it? Anyway, the figures were very cool too, with great articulation and some really good molds. It also introduced some excellent voice actors to fan recognition, such as David Kaye and Scott McNeil. And of course.....Yessss...... :D
