Conjecture. Hasbro doesn't regularly spend tens of thousands of dollars designing, tooling and producing toys just to cancel them after a production run of five sets.

 

I wouldn't take this "theory" too seriously.

EEJ might be right. Dumps do happen at KB and who's to say Hasbro just wouldn't release the hovercraft under a different line. Could happen and probably has imo.

doesn't really matter much to me. i wasn't planning on getting it anyway. i'm a bit of a completist myself, but only with the figure waves, not vehicles. and i'm not a collector, in the sense of mib collecting for second market value or whatever, so even if this thing became a rarer than rare holy grail, i wouldn't care.

I really would like to see this cancelled,for one,I don't care about it,it's ugly,it's nothing special.It just shows that Hasbro is wasting time and money on trying to expand GI Joe now into the remote control car scheme much like BTR has been trying to do in the Lego department.

 

Hasbro shouldn't waste all that money on this crap,the money should remain at the focus of the mainline and developing better products there,not POS's like this.

Agreed. The hoverstrike doesn't fit with Joes at all.

 

And to clarify, EEJ's recent ammendment is what I was getting at in my earlier post. The toy will be sold in some form or another as Hasbro will recoup the production costs somehow.

EEJ is NOT a viable source of information.I don't listen to what he says and neither do most people here on ADC if you've been around for a while and noticed how many of his "insider infos" have turned up completely wrong.He's just another fan that claims to be "in the loop of things with Hasbro".
