Hoist, Wheeljack, and Airazor are out. Question bout Airazor

Found 2 of the 3 today.

However Airazor has autobot all over the package but a deceptican logo embossed on his back. I think I read something about him being a spy? Can anyone elaborate on this?

I've been nearly constantly checking my local Target, Wal-Mart and Toys R Us but still haven't found any of the new Supercons OR Minicons, let alone Powerlinx Prime. I am in the St. Louis area... Any Midwesterners found the Emergency, Air Military teams, Wheeljack, Hoist, or Airazor? (I did get both Rhinox and Terrorsaur when I saw them in Target about a month or so ago... haven't seen either since.)

Airrazor's a her

And the Spy story is mostly a covering their ass type of thing. Supposedly they goofed

I know the BW Airazor was a girl but I didnt know if they were keeping it that way. I like Airazor as a him AND a decepticon.

I don't like the new TF's. They are all manga-styled and i hate manga. The worst about the new figs are the vehicle panels which are folded to the sides, which make the robots look like butterflies and the damn skinny legs. I loved the G1 TF's where every part of the vehicle was used in the Transformation and became an integral part of the robot. The back became the legs, the hood the chest etc.

Hope the upcoming live-action movie focusses on G1.

There's nothing wrong with manga. Its a multi-million dollar a year industry with millions of regular consumers. If there was no merit to manga then it wouldnt be so successful. The fact of the matter is that Japanese anime/manga has a very strong following in the States, so its only logicval to expect TF to keep with the times, just like G2s eye-gouging colors were a sign of it's time.

I see no resemblence to a butterfly in any recent toy.

Next time you look at an Armada toy, try opening your eyes. Armada toys do that too. Skyfire's nosecone becomes his chest. Primes grill becomes his chestplate. Not to mention their weapons are self-contained in vehicle mode. More of them DON'T have skinny legs than do.

Hope the upcoming live-action movie focusses on G1.

More than likely. THAT'S the one more folks are likely to recognize off the bat.

Darth, sounds more like you're describing RiD than Armada. But anyway, Wheeljack and Hoist look to be cool enough toys, no girly legs or anything. Take a look when they're mass released.

Wheeljack and Hoist are two of Armadas best.

Wheeljack looks cool.

That's the way I always invisioned transformers from my youth, before I got back into them (sideswipe stylee, bonnet for a chest)

Jeez people calm down. Can't a man have an opinion here? Just because a bunch of people like manga, doesn't mean i have to like it. So tell me, what's the difference between RID and Armada? I'm a TF fan, but not a collector. I do want some G1 toys though for old times sake.

Don't worry dude, fans are passionate about TFs, and get pissed sometimes, is all.

Armada and RiD are pretty different all in all. The new molds used in RiD take a nod from Beast Wars by using alot of ball joints and having some "shell" like transformations, ie. the car transforms by coming out of a shell and having the car parts hang off him, or fold up in back, or whatever. You can get some nice poses with RiD stuff, but it is usually done with skinny limbs. Sounds like that's the style you don't like. Armada uses less ball joints, and in my opinion is made alot sturdier. Also in my opinion, Armada takes it's nod from late G1.
