Yeah,it does look real cool and I'm considering getting it,that and/or the Cobra Commander mini-bust.I think the gloves and the hood are suppose to be a slightly darker blue than the outfit...maybe the photos kind of darken the color a little too....but it does really look close to black.

I like the pic of the statue surrounded by Cobra forces. I'll have to keep that in mind when it comes to displaying mine. I was lucky enough to get one as a gift from my girlfriend! She knew I loved Cobra Commander, esp. in the hood...on his head, not so much CC livin' in the hood you know what I mean. I can't wait to make a display for it, it is an awesome piece.

I just got this peice for my past birthday, and I gotta say it's like ten times better in real life. Even his uniform has this battlefield worn look. Like he just jumped from a burning Hiss tank and now he's gonna kick some butt. And the Hood and gloves work really great.

Hasbro should release these statues in an unpainted resin (or some material) that would be much cheaper, and let us paint them as we desire. Much like MANY of those models or statue, hobby type things, you can buy and paint yourself.

You can buy several and paint them each a little different, or army build a small group of Cobra Soldiers, to backup your painted CC statue. I'd be into something like THAT!

I don't want to pay $125 for a statue of the JOES or COBRAS, just because someone else had to masterfully paint them for me! 8) Hell, a 12" version of the Commander, with moveable joints and real cloth uniforms, that you can PLAY with...isn't THAT expensive!

A McFarlane toy (statue) isn't that expensive either, and those are some pretty detailed and well painted figures. So what's the driving factor on the cost of these..material? Paint? [/i]

This is a good idea and I have seen these before in old hobby shops...

Only busts/statues/mini-busts I'll be getting will be the Zartan and Firefly... I would like to get the Snake Eyes bust but thats like 300+ dollars...
