Thanks guys, I hope you're enjoying the ride as much as I am ;)

Time for another Q&A w/ Pablo...

From Episode-X:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pablo update – August 5th.

* There are numerous Assault Gunships in ROTS.

* There are also a variety of Republic Cruisers.

* Padme’s new vehicle is the Naboo Skiff.

* Utapau is a planet that will see major fighting.

* A picture from Utapau accidentally made it onto the Official Site.

(I'd say it was that pic from the Wookiee set.)

* The total planet count in ROTS stands at twelve.

* It seems that problems have arisen between the Jedi Order and the Palpatine about the way the war is run.

* It is a ballet that is taking place onstage during the Coruscant theater scene.

* Bana Breemu, Fang Zar, Male-Dee, Giddean Danu and Nee Alavar are idealistic senators.

* Shaak-Ti is not on the Separatist Cruiser.

(Huh? There goes one of the best scenes from the movie.)

* Commander Bly is with Aayla Secura.

* Commander Thire will be on Coruscant.

* R2-D2 will save someone's life again.

* Nute Gunray blows his stack with someone.

* Sy Myrth is still in the movie.

* Agen Kolar has no lines in ROTS.

* Chi Eek Way and Terr Taneel’s lins have been cut. (Lucas daughters)

* Both Yoda and Anakin will appear in holograms in ROTS.

* It seems that Yoda doesn’t learn anything about the Force (or the Sith) on planet Kashyyyk.

(Makes no sense if this "info" has been locked away in the Jedi Archives all this time.)

* A personal scene exists between Yoda and Anakin.

From The Force.Net:

Set Diary - "Inside the Alderaan Cruiser" (Sep 01, 04)

(Check out the 2nd link for a messsage from GL to Anthony Daniels, and a 'guest star' from the OT)

Force-Keeper has a summary of tonight's set diary posted for paid members of the Official Site. Here's their summary for everyone to enjoy:

Episode III, we'll move beyond the corridors to new areas of the vessel, thanks in part to a recent revision of the Episode III script.

The framing for this sequence is very similar to shots near the start of Episode I, inside the Republic cruiser that voyages to Naboo. In fact, that footage currently is serving as a placeholder in the rough cut of Episode III

During rehearsal, the Yoda puppet provides an eyeline and framing reference of the little Jedi Master, sitting between Jimmy Smits and Ewan McGregor.

Today's shoot also includes a holographic transmission from Bail Organa to Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a walk and talk between Anakin and Bail, with Threepio tagging along in the background with R2-D2.

Set Diary - Day 9 (Sep 02, 04) "Fragments of Action"

Tonight's latest Episode III set diary from Lucas' commercial website includes some good tidbits as to what they're filming. Honestly there's not many spoilers they are releasing, just more of a capture the essence of what happens on set. Here's the highlights:

First shot: new Anakin sequence. He runs to a speeder, raises its canopy and blazes off. He's in a hurry on arrival too. It's windy.

Quite a few significant changes in the TF sequence. Before, our heroes were in an endless sequence of cliffhangers. It's more trim now. The hazards they face face serve to illustrate their relationship. Obi-Wan is concussed and regains consciousness on Anakin's shoulder! Anakin stops a dangerous descent using a grappling hook.

Isolated segments of the Dooku duel were shot. Chris Lee had just one scene - in which he made a Jedi's day go from bad to worse. Hayden stumbles from a kick; Ewan is rigged up to rise from a Force throw P> Another shot: Anakin slams against a wall in the General's quarters and leaves a stain in the wall from his robes.

Jerome Blake plays Mas Amedda in the UK!

Well, maybe one of Garindans RACE at least. A nice little tie-in on that level possibly. Like seeing those two aliens we see/ will see in the Cantina doing a thumbs up review of something on a Coruscant billboard which helps tie the prequels and the OT together on a visual level.

And for a saga of this level, little things like that can go a long way.

New Q&A w/ Pablo...

(From Episode-X.com)

Here's a more complete summary:

*There’s a damn lot of fighting in Episode III.

*The script mentions how the power of the Jedi continues to wane.

*Anakin’s on the Council. There’s some disagreement over whether this should be.

*Insider 79 will reveal some details regarding Rohan Nichol, the starship captain.

*R2D2 is not conspiring with Palpatine.

*Joel Edgerton is finishing with his filming.

*Shaak Ti is no longer on the Jedi Council. She is still a Jedi Master.

*Don’t expect many EIII Databank updates before next year. Maybe there’ll be some work done in November.

*When asked if Neimodia is in EIII, Pablo said “not exactly.

*Past Sith Lords are mentioned in EIII. None of them are characters that have previously been mentioned in the EU.

*None of the planets in EIII are from the EU.

*Heh. Sorry, Robert De Niro fans. He’s not in EIII.

*There’s still some more stuff regarding Wookiees to be filmed.

*The Queen of Naboo doesn’t have a name yet.

*There will be no Episode III Selects because Lucas doesn’t have time. They were replaced with Art of Revenge.

*Obi-Wan uses the Jedi mind trick in EIII.

*There’s more Art of Revenge stuff in the movie than not in the movie.

*Some scenes involving extras aren’t directed by George. He didn’t direct the Wookiees in Sydney. Though the scenes were based on animatics George was responsible for.

*EIII will be shown in theaters that don’t have digital projection.

*The rumor involving NDA’s being signed for Episodes VII-IX is bogus.

*An EU author came up with the name “Venator-calss Destroyer. George never calls them that when talking about them.

*There are no new and major villains other than Grievous.

*The only lightsaber colors in EIII will be red, green and blue. There will be no new and weird new handle designs. And example of a weird design is a curved handle. That’s in there (Dooku), but it isn’t new.

*There are no EIII planets named “Atzerri or “Moorja.

*Toonbuck Toora’s suit is reused in EIII. Pablo doesn’t think, in EIII, it will be considered the same character though.

*The Star Wars series rumors were addressed here: http://www.starwars.com/community/feature/...0/indexp11.html

*The ARC170 art was the final design. When asked if that was whether the clones had other fighters or not, Pablo said “Yes. Guess for yourself which he was saying ‘yes’ to. I’m guessing he meant that there are other fighters.

*Anakin and Obi-Wan don’t talk about Qui-Gon to each other in EIII. Other characters mention Qui-Gon though.

*Don’t expect a theatrical release of EIII anytime soon after the original release.

*Some explosions and pyro stuff filmed for EI is used in EIII. Perhaps some senators will be used as well. There’s not much usage of this EI footage in EIII though.

*There is no Sith logo in EIII. However, in various things such as posters and storybooks the graphics for Sith-related stuff should all be consistent.

*Sly Moore does not speak in EIII.

*The Emperor isn’t entirely happy with how Anakin turned out. Pablo thinks this is one of the most interesting things revealed in Episode III.

*The battles after the Clone War are more personal battles.

*Yoda was never a Sith.

*All of the EIII planets have names.

*In the ESB novel, there’s a scene with this line: The bar would be in seven pieces were you a Jedi. That scene was never finished. It has pieces missing. Perhaps it was scheduled for ESB reshoots but never had those particular scenes done.

*Saesee Tiin and Kit Fisto have no dialogue.

*A scene involving a chair (for a tub-chaired Jedi Council member) was cut.

*When asked about his having said that what Shmi said in EI about Anakin’s birth and conception were true, Pablo reiterates that Shmi said there was no father

*Thanks to Anakin being a Knight on the Council, Ki-Adi can no longer be considered the only Knight that’s ever been on the council as the EU has said.

*Pablo thinks ESB tells you all you need to know about why Vader tells Boba that there should be no disintegrations.

*When asked if Sidious is 1000 years old, Pablo replies he is not that old. He says there have been other Sith before Sidious during that 1000 years.

*All of those that have signed a deal memo are on the cast list.

Hmmmmmm that's kinda an odd tidbit to throw in.

Rama,

I'm guessing somebody must have asked about OT deleted scenes in addition to E3. I actually rememeber that scene from the Marvel comic adaptation; I was kinda hoping it would show up; I guess not.

As for the Boba reference, I think that's Pablo's way of saying it won't played out in ROTS

I rememeber the Scene being talked about, but the question is how much of it was shot if any....it just says it wasn't finished. If most of Mark Hamills stuff was done and they only needed Yoda close up, speech, and Bar SFX....you could still finishe it.

But if Hamils stuff isn't complete, then there isn't much that can be done about it.
