Whos the worse scalper?

I have got to say, I was skimming through eBay just now and came across an auction that really hit me. Click on the link below to check this guys auctions.

 

Yeah I'm sure these guys are checking out this site along with the forum. They are an online store and what most plain and simply call scalpers just never named that as they are a license one. I don't really care as I don't buy from them. I do know that on eBay they have items that start low and some with a reserve. I checked out their website and noticed that their prices online are also extremely higher than the standard retail pricing. I just can't understand why no one complains about them on these forums just the other guys. These guys are what I would call organized scalpers. Now I'm just giving my opinion as I really don't care. I can say however if I were to say I was going to sell something on ebay or offer it at a few dollars more I will get hammered for doing so. These guys offer stuff at a hugh markup. Checkout there website and look at the star tours figures and Clone wars figures. Star tour figures are at $10 at Disney and the clone war figures should be around $5, but not them just checkout their home page.

 

I just tired of everyone complaining about scalpers on Ebay and people over pricing stuff on forums. Hit the guys who should be selling it to us as noted retail rates. For the folks who check out ebay and see the high prices its because someone wants to pay for it. Like I said I won't pay these extreme prices, the way they end up so high on these onlie stores is because some will pay for it.

Lone, lots of guys hates that scalper. Brian's toys is bad. Go to the gi joe or the TF fourm. They complain about this seller for awhile.

I'm not complaining at all about those guys, but if some people keep buying from them they will continue to be here.

 

As far as all those websites promoting these sites, they have no reason to tell people not to over spend on ebay when they are promoting organized scalping and by far a licensed scalper. Those websites promoting these organized scalpers aren't any better just hypocrites. What these websites who promote them want are just freebies from these companies. You would call them perks. Websites are cheap just need to do your research.

Sometimes,you can find a bargain when it comes to Star Wars stuff. Haven't seen it yet for Joes or Transformers.

Indeed we do complain about Brian's Toys and rightfully so!The prices there are ridiculously high and it's been notorious for just ripping people off,but those people are also stupid enough to buy from them as well.If I ran a GI Joe website,I would definitely let people know about Brian's Toys and how they gip people out of money.

The question is not will you start a website to inform people about these matters, but how to actually get information too educate people about where to get stuff at a reasonable price. There are websites doing this already, but refuse to implicate their own sponsers as such. Most website give all kinds of hipe about scalping and what not, yet check there sponsers pricing. Sometimes ebay listings are way cheaper than their sponsers. I can name a ton of websites who sponser Brians toys and complain about scalpers on ebay everyday. So are these websites any better than their sponsers?

 

Remember its these guys who count on the uninformed or un-educated buyers to buy from them.

It's a miracle Brians' Toys is still in business, but cell phone companies prey upon uneducated buyers as well. As to lots of other businesses. And we can't tell Brians' Toys what to set their prices at. I only bought from them when the first started offering Joes and just recently when they had the second wave of Cantina bars for sale after Wal-Mart had passed on them. But paying $20 for figures I found last week at Wal-Mart is simply madness.

Nobody likes a scalper. but, sometimes you have to understand that in order for a business to be profitable, they have to sell for a little higher than you may find at retail. I own a toy store. We have to charge a little higher on our Star Wars figures than retail in order to churn a profit. If we charged the same price as someone like Wal-Mart does, we would lose money. We would basically be paying more for the case of figures than we sell them for. These stores may just be making sure they are getting back. The Star Tours figures are ONLY available at Disney, which means the only way to get them would be for them to pay $10 a piece for them. Now, it wouldn't make much sense for them to turn around and sell them for the same price they paid for them. They wouldn't make any profit. They have to raise the prices in order for their business to make money.

 

The best suggestion for this, if you don't like the prices, don't buy from them.

 

I agree cetain online stores and such are higher priced than they should be. But, I just don't buy from them. Plain and simple. No reason to complain. They are just trying to run a profitable business. There is nothing wrong with that!

I agree 100% with your first statement, but I see a lot of online stores that charge signifigantly less than BT. I believe that BT engages in price gouging. They prey on people who have no patience or are uninformed. I find that practice a little shady.

I happen to agree with Mandalorian30, but what I'm trying to point out here there is no use complaining about how much people are selling an item for on ebay or any other type of store. Just check around before buying something. I compare the cost of the item plus shipping from each store. Some online stores charge less for an item but make it up on the shipping charge. Its a matter of comparison shopping.

 

Now as for Mandalorian30 pricing, Walmart and target ususally get things directly from the factory. Meaning the purchases is made directly through to Hasbro, Mattel, etc... but loaded at country of origin directly to the purchasers container.

 

A good source for buying would several different toys is New Force Comics. Their prices are decent and are very good for pre-orders, but you usually have to get in line as they usually sellout of pre-orders quick.

 

I try not to name any company in particular for any reason good or Bad as you can see my post. And i don't work for or with New Force Comics. I have purchased from them in the past and they have been very quick and help full with any of my needs.
