Updated Jeff Hardy News - Failed Drug Test!

Last week, Jeff Hardy was fired from WWE. The WWE website posted a message that simply stated they had 'severed' their relationship with him.

Jeff had wanted out of pro wrestling for several months and just simply didn't have the passion for it anymore. WWE kept Jeff around due to his merchandise sales and the liking that young fans took to him.

Although some would argue that the decision to part ways was mutual, there are new facts that have not been reported until now.

Jeff took a drug test several days prior his firing. WWE had asked him to take a random drug test which they are able to do whenever they feel the need. Jeff's results came back and they were negative. Jeff apparently met with Vince about the situation and was asked to check himself into drug rehab. Jeff said no and that's when the decision came to fire him.

Despite rumors of Jeff working the Indy scene or showing up in NWA-TNA, it's not going to happen. Jeff wants to work solely on his music right now and will be recording an album next month. As we reported before, he had saved a lot of money from wrestling over the past several years.

I remember that Team eXtreme magazine they put out a couple of years ago, and in it, Jeff drove a brand new Corvette, and had a prarie dog as a pet. I thought that was cool. Prarie dogs are neat.
