haha, I saw that lot too. But I already have 2 of those Bison figures.. the funny thing is, that is the version that came with the Crimson Cruiser, so it should be harder to get.

I'm not trying to slam you Dustin, but what in the heck do you want 8 M. Bison figures for? I never understood what was so great about the SF figs to begin with. :-?

Actually, Yes. My little brother has the Red M. Bison, which was originally my older brother's, and I've always liked the figure for some reason. I've been looking for an M. Bison for awhile, and then I found this auction.

What will I do with all of them? CUSTOMS! 3817-banana.gif

I have this really great idea for an M. Bison custom, and I'm going to try it out. 8)

But seriously, what CAN'T you do with 8 M. Bison figures? I now have an army of M. Bisons! DON'T BE JEALOUS. 3817-wink.gif

Yeah me too, I can't understand the whole street fighter/Joe thing.....but hey whatever floats your boat man :D

Simple. Strert Fighter at the time was the most populsr and successful video game. Making figures of a hot property was not a new practice even back then and the Joe line needed the additional sales.

And seeing as how Guile is an Army man and M. Bison was a paramilitary themed criminal, the connection is fairly logical. Better than Sinbad at least.

Plus the figures were pretty neat and offered some great custom fodder

First off, n00b, the Street Fighter figures are not sad. They are crafted from sturdy GI Joe parts. All have nicely sculpted all new heads. And their skin tones sre better than ANYTHING JvC has to offer.

Second, they do have something to do with the GI Joe world., as they have the RAH logo on each and every package. They even filmed a live action commercial with Joe characters interacting with Street Fighters So The Street Fighters are undoubtedly a part of the GI Joe line.

Thanks for the warm welcome Mr Evil, but a RAH logo does not a Joe make. Remember manimals?

I think they are cool, and will make nice additions to my Cobra forces.. of course I will have to do away with their character history, and make new ones in my imagination

Okay Tom, whats so funny? Nothing in my statement was made up The RAH logo *IS* in the package, the commercial *WAS* filmed. I speak nothing but the truth.

And I do have documentation to back my claim up. You can find the commercial at yojoe.com. If Hasbro and Capcom didnt think the connection was permissable, they would never have allowed these figures, much less a commecial to come to be

See? Thats Duke, right in the middle with all the SF gang. M.Bison has been quoted, and in no uncertain terms "But Cobra has Street Fighters, too!" So yes, there IS a connection. Even if it was made that ONCE. The Street Fighter figures ARE a part of GI Joe. Theres no harm whatsoever with the SF stuff being part of the line. You dont like them, Fine, but all the denial in the world doesnt change the facts. I thought it kind of enhanced both universes

but a RAH logo does not a Joe make.

Um, yes it does. Even Sgt Savage is connected even though his adventures were meant to be seperate. No ones going to force you make Dhalsim fight alongside Capt Grid-Iron, but theres no harm in the two properties being connected

Remember manimals?

Yes I do. They werent the best engineered Joe products to come off the line, But it doesnt change the facts that they were RAH figures. Every bit as much as the Street Fighter toys. Whether you consider them good or not can be debated. The fact that they are cannot.

I have criticized JvC on a fair number of occasions and will continue to do so (And continue to give credit where I feel its due) But never ONCE have I ever disputed the facts that these are Joe toys. They arent as good as I feel they can be. But that's exactly what they are.

Am I the only one who loved the manimals and were upset by the cancellation of that line?

Also Whao cares if they were connected? This could go on forever. They were connected. The End! They even had cards of them together. At the time they were inserting cards with the toys from the stupid Live action commercial spots. Hell even a dorky Megatron was made a card once. Yes he was in the commercials for GIJOE once if I remember correctly. G2 was appearing in Gijoe and it was a comic commercial.
