I dont know about the toy sizes that Skelotron talks about, but in the cartoon, Apeface is way bigger than Optimus Primal, if fact all G1 transformers were way bigger that the BW transformers. So based on that I would have to say that Apeface would crush Optimus Primal.

 

But if you give the near equal size.....Optimus Primal all the way, he is way to smart for dumb Apeface.
