Outsiders Collection...

Outsiders

Recommended Posts

Being it's only Wednesday and not much else to do... I decided to take the scans I made awhile ago and make a little slide show of my G.I. Joe collection... Now the last time I did scans was early 2001 so some of the figures, etc... I have collected since I haven't scanned cause of lack of time, etc...

What I did was I made flash files of each character I collect and I have what I collected going by oldest to newest... Since the only figures I do collect are Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, Zartan, Firefly, Tomax & Xamot... You are probably wondering what the big deal is then...

Well... I don't open anything and I'm just showing off my little museum of plastic enclosed figures... I made these in about 5 minutes but I figured it's a nice way to show off my collection or part of it...

The flash files run on 100 fade in/fade out process so don't come replying back saying I didn't see anything... Give it a few seconds to change from each card... I have also included the sizes for anyone running dial-up...

These files can run in either Netscape or Internet Explorer but when you try and open them... You might get something about getting the Flash plugin if you don't already have it installed... 8)

Enjoy...

Outsiders:

How did you acquire most of your vintage carded figures? I am sure that they cost a pretty penny. But very cool presentation.

I picked up only about a 1/4 from Ebay and the rest from dealers and other people... I was lucky to get most of my stuff before prices skyrocketed and people went crazy over the stuff...

Think the most I ever paid was for a 1985 Snake-Eyes with Timber but that was punched and that cost $225.00 which was about a C 9.0 but I found another one punched for $200.00 which was about a C 9.3 which was in better condition so I kept that and sold the first one I found for $500.00 to this guy on Ebay who had to have it... And then I found the unpunched version for $315.00 which was a C 9.7... I can't find anything wrong with it so overall... I only paid $240.00 for 2, 1985 Snake-Eyes ranging between C 9.3 - 9.7, one being punched and the other being unpunched!

One of the cheapest figures I got was the Zartan MIB with Water Skier from this lady at a garage sale... It still had the price sticker of $5.95 from Child's World on it and she was only asking 10 bucks for it... Still has the original tape on it...I ran like the devil after I got it...

WOW. Thats some awesome stuff! I really like the way you got that to fade like that!

BTW I recommend looking at those after your drunk and had mushrooms for dinner. :o:o:o

Great job Outsiders!!

Been working with Flash lately so learning lots of new things and it only took like 5 minutes to do...

If I find time... I want to make a better version with lots of effects... 8)

who else is jealous?

Nothing to be jealous about guys and I appreciate the kind words... I always figured my collection was kind of small compared to what you guys talk about like I'm at the bottom of the list when it came to collecting Joes... 8)
