I think I have cured a Bad Habit

I think I have finnally cured a major problem I have. I am no longer a completist when it comes to collecting. Trust me, this was a major problem. I bought some Spy Troops and have no desire to get Sgt. Hacker/Scalpel or Barrel Roll. Not only will this save a lot of money but I will have a lot of extra room for what I consider better stuff.

Hum I like Barrel Roll too. I also liked Scalpel. But I hear you on being a completist. It can drane you. Its so much more of a fun hobby if you just by what you like. Not to mention the money you save.

I'm still a completist. The glider that Barrel Roll comes with was disappointing to me, kind of chintzy, and not a worthy substitute for another new Cobra figure, but Barrel Roll himself is pretty cool, especially since the wrist articulation actually lets him hold his rifle properly. As for Sgt. Hacker vs. Scalpel.... that's my favorite two-pack of series 5. Scalpel is o.k. in his regular joe togs, but he's cool in his cobra disguise. As for Scalpel... awesome figure. Probably my favorite of wave 5. 'course, I guess everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I still think the Joe Vs. Cobra line has a ways to go before it gets up to the quality of the original line, but most of the stuff Hasbro puts out is at least halfway decent. I just hope that Hasbro will continue to improve the line, as long as people continue to support it. It seems to me that each subsequent series of figures gets better and better, so hopefully that trend will continue.

Welcome to the semi-completeists, Cyber Bear!

I'm the same way... I wish every figure that came out of JvC was pure gold (like MOTU :P ) but the reality is, they're not. I really dislike Barrel Roll, even though he has an AWESOME head... I still collect most, if not all JvCs because of the two packs... but if there are figures I really don't want (Forest Dusty w/ Shock Viper, JvC vehicles, wave 1 + wave 1 repaints) I don't buy them. It gives me some extra dough to army build! :)-

The ugly bright green packages and broke ass logo from the early 1900s is what killed my completist syndrome. :( I kinda wish it didn't so I wouldnt have to hide those on my way up to the register. They might even think I'm trying to steal them one of these times.

I wish I had the room to "army build". I should invest in shelves or a table of some sorts that isnt my glass coffee table in front of my one tv. I really want to build the B.A.T. pack, I was always a fan of the B.A.T.s :)

im a real big fan of barrel roll, but his spy troops is gonna start making alot more sense soon. i wanna army build the guy because i plan on repainting all but one of them in a red/white custom and call them S.K.Y. vipers (no actual name yet for the acronym) and im gonna repaint barrel roll in a black/red costume that way he actually would look like a troop just different paint scheme. and an army of the air gliders looks kickin rad all lined up next to each other.
