there's a song by the cranberries.. last song on the album, but I forget he album and song name..

it was the newest one I think, with them on the cover all with yellow instruments. I dont listen to that album often, I dont even have it anymore, but I remember the last song being relaly sad.. can't think of anything other then that one.

Poignant would have been a better word to describe "What a Wonderful World." My choices might be that way, too.

Last Days of April - Days I Recall Being Wonderful

A Perfect Circle - 3 Libras

Massive Attack - Tear Drop

Final Fantasy VI Piano Collections - Terra

Harry Chaplin - Cats In the Cradle

WTF STFU.

I don't know what a 'sad song' is. And how is "What a Wonderful World" sad? That's like saying little kittens and Ice Cream Sundaes make me cry. OMG, LOL.  :(

I think the song is sad because it was my dads favorite song

So if my dad's favorite song was performed by Sir Mixalot, I should think it's a sad song? The circumstances don't matter, it's the content of the song that gives the emotional reaction.

I'd have to disagree on that point. Content and context both matter in the overall emotional experience of a song.

It's why certain songs are played at points in movies; to enhance the emotional effect of a scene. Like at the end of 12 Monkeys, when Bruce Willis' younger self is seeing his older self die and they play "What a Wonderful World." If they had instead played the Muppets theme song, or something by the Beastie Boys the scene would have been bizarre and grotesque.

What the hell is with the Beatles?... Bleh... Can't those guys burry their music with them?

For me, it's "Last Kiss" I can't remember who did it though...

It's because they make something called music, and revolutionized Rock N' Roll. Now go back to your Wiggles records and take your Ritalin.

If you're talking about the recent version of 'Last Kiss', that would be Pearl Jam. It's a cover though, so I suppose you could be thinking of the older original version, and I don't remember who did that.

My choices...

'Black' by Pearl Jam

'Release' by Pearl Jam

'Whisper' by Evanescence

'Little Invitro' by Gary Numan

'Angel's Son' by Sevendust

I'm sure I could think of more, but the above will do.

Cheers.

WOW

I just forgot one of the saddest song

Tears in Heaven-Eric Clapton

What he is singing about is if his son would remember him in heaven

It was just written after his son died

I'll add that to my list too.

Cheers.
