Attention Adminidtrator: Posts Deleted

The Mad Bubbler

Recommended Posts

It seems that all of the posts I made within the two days or so before the forums were moved to the new server have been deleted without a trace, as well as a new topic I posted. In addition, I added a location and avatar to my proe during that period, and those two ere not saved. As a result, I went from having at least 12 postings, to being credited with only 5. Ideally, I would like these posts re-posted. If that isn't possible, I'd at least like credit for the number of posts that I've made. Any idea what happened to cause all of this? Please get back to me.

Well Bubbler as I have posted in several threads when we moved the forums to a new server last night we unfortunatly lost some posts from the last few days. I am sorry but there is no way to return them.

If you're talking to me, Riker, I can't believe it because it's ridiculous. Doesn't this guy reason that if he lost posts, then we all did? We're not complaining about it, so he shouldn't either.

Five measly posts... Guh.

No, I don't reason that others lost posts, because that's making an assumption, which is something that I try not to do. Frankly, I'm fairly new to the forums here, and I don't really know how the technology works, so I was checking on it to see what the deal was. I was having a bunch of difficulties posting the first few days that I was registered here, so i didn't know if it was my account in particular that had been experiencing problems, or the site as a whole. Now that I know that it wasn't just me, and apparently everything's been ironed out with the new server and everything, it's not that big of a deal.

Mm No.

Reason is what people use to weigh the evidence in front of them, and come to a practical conclusion. Is it that you don't like to use the term 'assume' because you heard that super funny saying "ass out of you and me?" or do you have some skewed philosophy on life? Either way, it's fair to assume that you don't like the term... so use extrapolate or somethin'

Actually, assume and extrapolate mean slightly different things, but yeah, reason doesn't mean you necessarily assume things. I musta been a little over-tired or something when I put that. I just don't like to assume, because it usually means you take something for granted without having many, if any, facts to back it up. Maybe I came across the wrong way in my first post, I didn't mean to sound like I had an attitude or anything, I just honestly wanted whatever was wrong with my account to be fixed, if possible. I really haven't done a lot of posting stuff on forums in the past, so I don't know how all of the technology works with switching servers and all that. I was kinda frustrated because I was having problems posting for the couple of days before that, so I might've sounded a little teed off in the first one. Nothing meant by it at all, I just thought that maybe my account in particular was messed up, as opposed to most, or all, people.
