Is there a future for da new toyline? Whats Hot? Whats Not?

Well.. I just opened my Shredder figure.. and dam.. am I upset or what?

The figure looks mighty and everything.. but that piece of plastic aren't action figure... what's with the fu##up right arm? and the funny leg position? and again.. bendy weapons...

 

There are other great action figure toyline out there that are so much better than TMNT... if Playmates don't do something about these crap... I really don't see a future for the line... but I am a TMNT fan that want this line to be successful... so people... we really need to let Playmates know...

 

What can be done?!

they never have been the coolest but articulation gets me the most.

 

honestly no matter what they do with the figs, i'll only watch the toon.

i think theyre fairly good figures, however not my favorite line, but i have been looking forward to new tmnt figures for a long time now

What I like: There will most likely be a bunch of characters from the original, Mirage comic series, because the new cartoon is based more on that story. (e.g. black Baxter, human Foot, a decent looking Casey Jones, a Triceraton... also potentially Foot elite and hopefully a decent Leatherhead)

 

What I don't like: The figs are too "cartoony" for my taste, and the articulation generally sucks. Also, the cartoon will probably take it's own direction after the equivalent of the Return to New York story line, which most likely won't include the rest of the stories from the original comic series. Which unfortunately includes Radical at her blue-catsuited, native American best!

 

What I'm gonna do: Buy the figs which remind me of all the characters from the original comics, and each Raphael as it's released, to hopefully build a nice set of four, equally green, red masked, but differently sculpted, Turtles. (customisers can begin brow beating me about how simple it is to paint figures..... .... ....now!)
