Batman TPB's

What is your opinion on the Batman TPB's? I know that some issues are taken out of the TPB's as they are only loosley related to whatever storyline they are following (ie: Batman:Fugitive).

Do you think they should collect the entire run or do you like the idea that the TPB's collect the gist of the storylines?

I think they're great They're different, but in a cool way I was thinking of getting them myself....

I read Batman for about 5 years but I had to quit because I had to buy like 15 comics if I wanted a complete Batman story, so yeah TPB'S are the way to go.

Alot of the crossovers in the Bat titles are written so you dont have to buy every single title especially Murderer/Fugitive but the key issues are important. I think the trades usually go pretty well with this.

 

God I read all of Fugitive and was so glad it was over by the end of it

Was Fugitive a brutal series or something?? I haven't read it yet...

No, Fugitive wasn't brutal. I heard it was a lengthy series though. The TPB's are collecting the highlights of that saga.

I have 71 TPB's of Batman...I stopped buying when the Legacy series came out. I need to pick it back up again someday!

I didn't really notice that they don't include the entire series. I guess it wouldn't be realistic will all the crossovers. I'm reading "No Man's Land 4" and every so often i find me asking myself 'Did i miss something?'
