well, the update is that i changed the whole site to be 800x600 friendly.

the first fig was a request and all i had to work off of was a description. though not my usual custom the guy said he was great:

Babel: Psi-Lord

the second is my mom. matt made dad a fig over Christmas and it was mom's idea so we surprised her with a fig as well:

Ann: Mom

not my usual customs so let me know what you think.

the last batch are made by my brother. check em out:

Roadblock

Recondo

Light Infantry

Heli-Viper

John

James Bond

I'm well impressed with all the customs both of you have put together!!

I do have a question however, I am thinking of doing some 'Joe/Cobra customs and I know from ohter customs I have done on my site that paint apps around joints can be a problem.

How do you solve this?

As I would still like to be able to pose them afterwards.

Also do you undercoat before painting or not?

Any help would be some help.

Thanks

dont play with them :D

actually this is a good question. the main thing is letting the paint dry completely. this helps a ton. secondly, one thing i try to do when i spray paint figs is to move the joints between coats. this helps keep the paint from sticking over seams or joints. clear coats are suppose to help and i have even heard of people mixing paint with hobby cement to paint the joints with. i personally dont worry about it, my figs usually just stand together. however i can say that the figs that i did a while will not chip near as easy. the paint gets better over time.

Also do you undercoat before painting or not?

not usually. if the paint i am using is very thin and the paint scheme underneath tends to fade through then i will. most of the time i dont though. usually the only time the i spray anything is when i am painting a fig primarily one color and i spray paint those parts, especially when i can find the color i want in flat or satin (stay away from gloss, but you may know that by now). also, i just dont like the shiny finish.

Can I buy that James Bond

we usually dont sell our figures. if my brother decides to make another one for you i will let you know.
