Best Writer - James Robinson.

Best Artist - Tony Harris.

Both for their combined effort on Starman a few years back. Never has story and art flowed so well.

Cheers.

Since I have read comics again, I have to say that Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb have both impressed on Batman and I also like ###### Johns' work on the Avengers.

Writer: Bendis, a combination of quality and quantity (same could be said about Peter David). I also like JMS b/c of Spidey but he writes quite slow.

Artist: this is a tough call. I look at many factors such as quality, quantity, style. So I would say Romita Jr. He can pump out 18 issues a year, that's impressive.

I used to go to this one comic shop that brought in ALL KINDS of cool people to hang out, sign books and stuff, but I stopped going because the guys that ran the place were total a-holes.

It made me wonder how he got such cool people to come out . . . . probably the owner was a huge @$$-kisser or paid them fat cash or something . . .

But no loss, ya know . . . I buy some of those guys' books because I like their writing, or drawing . . . not 'cause I wanna be their friends, or get a signed book to put on eBay.
