I know that some of the older members remember using other toy lines figures in their Joe battles.

I for one, used to have Captain Power (and his soldiers of the future) be the Joe Team from the distant future. I would have them pulled to the past to fight. or have Duke or Snake Eyes be cryo frozen to be awoke by the future joes to have them lead a battle against the unstoppable force of cobra. or the long descendant of Destro * Darth Vader....

anyone else care to share any of their stories?

I used to build jeeps and stuff out of my legos and use them for vehicles so I could blow them up and smash them. :)

When I was little and when I would get a new figure, I would introduce him into my collection, whenever i would get home from the store I would get my other joes and have the new viper or villian attack the joes base and take out my second tier joe members. Then the joes would have to figure out how to deal with the new menace. I used to make it like an episode of the cartoon, I never usually mixed lines. But yeah captain power figures would almost blend in perfectly with the joes.

Captain Power!!! :) Wow, I remember that! We used to have the ship/guns and that interactive video... where you have to shoot the ships on your TV screen, and if you get hit too many times, the little action figure in your ship/gun would eject. My brother and I used to put our Joes in there when we couldn't find Captain Power... or our MASK toys. 8) Good times!

LOL - I used to do the same thing. I remember getting Road Pig and having him kick all of my Joe's butts.

Whenever I bought a new vehicle if it were a cobra vehicle I would line up my cobras and have them supervise its construction as I put it together... likewise I would do the same with joes and joe vehicles.

Um, Heck, I still do that. :)

i didnt do the supervise my new vechicle thing and i dont know anything about captain power but i did all of the other stuff mentioned! i used to introduce figures and make them the coolest etc etc.im sure i mixed a few star wars with my joes as i did he-man and thundercats.i had a few joe ripoff figures that i mixed in with them all.

not very occasionally but i made lego parts to help with my scene.like a litttle wall for then to hide behind etc.

i seemed to replay the same thing over and over.almost as if i was the camera and i was making a movie and i needed a retake.i remember sitting one of the cobra soldiers into a jeep and slowly moving it past my face on my bed and i watched it as if i was doing scene by scene.it was cool.i had my favorite figures and my not so favorite and all my favorite ones would always win.i didnt have many of the soldiers/armies so when one died id re use him as amother soldier.i loved playing with my figures.if i was playing with the stricker for example id fly it all the way around the house not just in my bedroom.

i had action force figures as well so i guess i could say i mixed them with the gijoes even though i class them as the same toyline.

I used wooden blocks and legos to build bases for Cobra and the Joes. Other army toys like Sgt Rock were also a part of both teams. When I finally got the Joe base, I would use the wooden blocks to prop it up and pretend it was in the water so the Hovercraft could dock and have a loading area. My friends had other air and water vehicles and we would have aircraft and watercraft battles near the base. The Cobras were always trying to take over the Joe base and actually did on occasion. Some of the Joes would have to sneak back in and retake the base. Other Joes went to the area of the basement we used for Cobra Island land battles and kicked Cobra tail.

Does anyone remember Lincoln Logs? I used to build forts/bases out of them for my Joes.

I was also very nitpicky as a child and never mixed lines. Also, if a figure didn't have all of his accessories (even if he was only missing one), that figure was no longer good to me...no matter how cool he was.

good gravy....

I loved mixing lines. I remeber my War Duke from Dungeons and Dragons was Cobra Commanders personal body guard. or his champion for his arena of sport...*hey old timers remember that one?

I had Sgt Rock figures as basic army.

Fisher Price / Tonka as civilians

man I wish i were a kid again

this brings back alot of memories. i don't know if i can remember all of the other toys i used. i used starwars figures and would say they were cobra la guys, mainly stormtroopers and aliens. oh and sectaurs (anybody remember those) i'd use the big bugs as cobra la monsters and say that cobra used the hive playset as there base. i thought the monsters for the mega marines sucked so i used aliens and predators for them to fight, they worked good for star brigade too. i had masters of the universe characters come through a portal to earth as these huge super guys and the killed all but fisto (i'm not sure why he lived). i had this big orange stuffef aligator i called alice, cobra took control of it, it usually took all of my joes and vehicles to stop it, that was alot of fun, i think it came back to life a few times and had about four offspring too. i never used blocks or lincoln logs, i would take masking tape on my basement floof to look like walls of a base i'd have all these rooms like a motor pool communications room. the brig, cafeteria, lounge, sleeping quarters anything i could think of. one time cobra made robocop. then i used batman figures. i can't remember any more but there was probably more. i used to try and tie my stories in with the comic too but use the cartoon voices. and for some reason cover girl was always dating wild bill. i better stop or i'll go forever. :)

I coulnd't mix other lines with joe due to size, intell star wars came along and i had 2 captian powers. Every now and then i would have cobra sceintist make x-men into monsters or something.

I usualy didn't follow the story of joe and had myself as a character and had everything post apocalyptic. You know cobra has an empire now and stuff like that. I like magic and had the ninjas use it, wich explains my contiuned love for ninjas.

The weirdist thing i can ever remember doing is having one of them be turned into a monstro viper and have a big drawn out story about this poor guys life and he had to fight both his old freinds (who thought he was a monster) and the bad guys,... it was more complicated than 7 year old should have been able to think up, then again i had just moved and had no freinds.

I remember when I was a kid I had the Captain Power figure that was cammoflauged; the one with the armor and big gun that attached to his hip(?). I can't remember his name; but anyway...At the time I was fascinated with Robocop, and I pretended like Steeler had been killed in battle and resurrected as this guy; like a man/tank war machine. Kinda silly, but I thought it was cool at the time. :P

You mean tomboy! A tomgirl would be a girly boy... a tomboy is a boyly girl... bah, it's late, but you know what I mean! ;)

I'm so glad I don't have a sister. I'm not a very girly girl, I much prefer hanging out with both my brothers. My older brother and I are like twins... we're so alike actually, that we used to call ourselves the Crimson Twins! He was Tomax and I was Xamot... anyway... having an odler brother was so fun, when I was little... we'd play with all out Transformers, GI Joes, MASK toys, TMNT toys, everything... and we'd watch reruns of the old 80s toons together, even though I was too young to understand most of them. ;) nice fond memories....

Well, I hope you have a son too! :) I mean, daughters are nice too... either way I'm sure he/she will have a great influence from his/her parents! 8)

Hee hee! I love your explanation of...uh, boyly girls and girly boys!

Anyway, your childhood seems seems to mirror mine, Samus; I have an older brother (and a younger brother for that matter), and we all enjoyed the same toys and 'toons growing up. Heck; we still do! Everything you mentioned except for TMNT. We never got into that, but we were all for the same stuff you and your brother enjoyed. I can relate totally! :D
