Has anyone spotted beyond Wave 1 at a TRU??

I got my Wave 2 figures from the TRu in Times Square... haven't seen hide nor hair of them since... and they were already sold outta Stalker/Neos too!

Well, I know that there are waves in between 1 and 2, the repaints and such. The TRUs in my county have those (I don't know whether they're wave 1.35, or 1.5, or whatever... :oops: )... but no wave 2.

 

Check your local K-mart. You might be pleasantly surprised!

My TRU is terrible, they still have episode 1 figures!!!! But no mine still has only wave 1, i haven't even seen wave 2 in the wal-marts by me yet. But the Target and K-mart by me have had them out for at least a month now. So who knows.

My TRU got in 2 cases of wave 2 like a week ago and half the cases were crushed and the rest looked like it got ripped apart by some 5 year old...

The 3 TRU's that I check often still only have the wav 1 figures, and the walmart that's near me has plaenty of them and no sign of getting anything new anytime soon.

The TRU's here have Wave 2. It took them a while, but they have them(only place I've seen HISS IV so far)

I still don't get what Hasbro is thinking... Next wave is around the corner and every damn store around me are still stuck on wave 1 or wave 1.5!

TRU was the first place I ever saw Wave 2. That since sold out a month ago and I havent seen new ones since

 

Ive gotten about all my Wave 2 at K-Nart. Since its such a crappy store many dont seem to look there. I got my third and final Blue Viper pack at Target.

 

Right after Wal-Mart K-Mart seems the cheapest at $6.99 per 2-pack

I work at TRU. I want to put myself out on a limb and say that that TRU got wave 2 first. The reason I think this is because I unloaded a box from a truck in mid August. Just one box, thats it. Our store hasn't recieved anymore since. The reason many of you have not seen wave 2 at TRU could be attributted to a few things....

 

1. An employee bought them before they could be put out. A big no no, but does happen from time to time.

 

2. A collector bought them.

 

3. Too many wave 1's on the shelf preventing the merchandisers from putting them out.

 

Our store recieved that one case, and at the time we had no space to put them out, so they actually were sitting in the store room for a whole day, until I saw a guy I recognized as a Joe collector. No other store in the area had them so he bought the whole case. It's funny, but I see so many people complain about scalpers buying everything, but from my experiences it's generally other collectors who are doing that. :' )

 

Oh, I don't have the numbers with me but wave 2 has the same SKN number as wave 1. This may cause some problems as the computers that do the automatic merch orders won't recognize that its a different assortment. Maybe that is why TRU can't seem to get the new wave in!

I haven't seen any Joe figs at TRU past wave 1 either. Plenty of vehicles and headquarters, though.

My Walmart is still crammed full of waves 1 and 1.5. I did manage to find a Scarlett vs Zartan pack hanging from the one peg my Kmart has dedicated to JVC, but that's all I've seen.

I found wave 2 at a Target in Massachusetts and at 1 out 6 Wal Marts...the Hudson Wal Mart is the only Wal mart in which I know of who got Wave 2 in. The rest have tons of wave 1 sitting there :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:

First place I found wave 2 was TRU. From what I was told, TRU didin't order and of the filler waves(1.35, 1.5, 1.75). Is that true? I would believe it since i haven't seen them there ^*^

My TRU has some of the filler waves... I don't know the specifics of those waves, but I've found the repaints and such.

 

The same SKU number...? That's interesting! Hey EMB... is it worth it working at TRU? I'm going to pick up a part time job for the holiday season and was thinking of working there.

I can get anything now in my area. The only two packs not available to me are Gung Ho vs Destro repaint, Big Ben vs Alley Viper wave 1.5 and Mirage vs Viper wave 2 repaint. Target has a Big Ben/Alley Viper repaint and all the rest of wave 2. Target and K-mart has Hiss IVs and Sand Razors, and Target and Walmart has NAC. I restocked Targets shelves again today (which has yielded two cases of wave 2 to be stocked at this Target since I've been doing it) and finally got a chance to restock the pegs at wally world and there is now a peg and a half open for joes. Probably not enough room for them to get another set of wave 2 in. Target also has the assault quad, but is sold out of the fang. Neo-Vipers are starting to become pretty scarce around here.

Well, I personally think it depends on the crew you work with. I love the people there and I treat them like they are my second family. The work itself is HARD! You won't get any credit for what you do and a lot of guests(customers) can make you feel crappy. The worst thing is being accused by a toy collector of lying. It doesn't happen often but it can, and it really hurts because I really do try my best. Some people will never believe that there aren't anymore of "x" toys in the back. However, if you really like toys it can be the best job you've ever had. I really feel like I'm a part of the whole christmas experience, and making kids happy is a real plus. Someday when I have a real career and kids, I'll be able to walk in a TRU and say that I used to be apart of this.

I don't work at TRU but from what I see... It all depends on what you do there...

 

Also... I know from past TRU experiences... They don't look too kindely upon their employees keeping stuff in the back so they can buy it for themselves... :wink: 8)

yeah ive seen i think just one TRU...the one in clarksville tn...that had wave 2. i waited again on buyin it thinkin my local walmart would get them soon, but they STILL havent after all this time.
