i am assuming the very articulated bandai figures are selling on Sept. 29th in Japan... well it said the thing has 23 pt of articulations... could this be the one?

Dreamer, I don't think those are it. THe ones coming out have better paint jobs. And are 8" not 5"

After reading that auction, I believe they are the Bandai, the 5 inch ones that we thought is actually much smaller. The one on auction, they are 18 cm tall. And the picture are almost the same, look below, I think some might be proto, that's why they don't have the articulation, but Kid Muscle, Muscle King.. those 2 are same as the one in Toy Show. Anyway their price are 2980 yen for a set of two I believe..

okay, I give up posting the pix, anyway I am pretty sure they are the figures, look at Kid Muscle's hair, or Robin Mask's helmet, they are exactly same thing as the pix in Toy Show..

Cool, thanks Dreamer. I just picked up some PVC figurines at a local Japanese food store today. They don't tell you who you're going to get (I think) until you open the box. I got Kinnikuman (o.g.) and Terry the Kid. No Mantaro....bummer

Well, if you check on top of the box, there will be a line saying who it is.. also if you can't read jap, they numbered each character, just match the number on top with the character shown on the left side of the box..

like

kid muscle A is 1

kid muscle B is 2

Terry kid is 3

Deer da da ba da da da is 4 (what's that guy's name again?~)

dude that looks like a sea lion is 5

kelvinmask is 6

dude with chess is 7

rhino dumb is 8

king muscle is 9

terry man is 10

 

hey not bad that you actually got Muscle King... who's Mantaro? is that Kid Muscle's name? Anyway don't be down, Muscle King is wayyyy better than getting some rhino dude or sea lion dude, although they are pretty cool!!

 

How did you like the candy~? I was wondering if it's gonna be overdue...

the due date is 03, 2... that means March of 2002 or Feb of 2003? :roll:

also if the food store only have 1 box.. then your luck of finding kid muscle will be tougher.. since kid muscle's toy is in the front 2 row... if kids buy them.. they don't really care, they just grab the one in the front...

 

so how much did you pay for them?~

 

umm.. i wanna find the earlier line.. the one with the guy has a cross.. kid muscle first fight!!

 

also did you order from hlj or hjl.. always can't get it right..

anyway I believe those are the figures.. pretty pricy in my taste.. $30 US for two figures... I will wait for their release (hopefully) in US.. or I can always pick up cheaper stuff from HK 8)

I paid $1.49 for each box. I may pick up more tomorrow since the place is so close to my work.

I haven't bought the two packs from hlj.com just yet. I may have to wait until December because of the couple of trips I'll be going on out of country soon.

I would love to have my girlfriend pick them up for me....but....she thinks toys and comics are a wasted hobby. That's alright, I know how I feel about the cause! hahahaa!

I think you can get a better deal for the 2 pack figures.. becoz TRU JPN already lower their prices to 2499 yen.

Also, no luck finding Mantaro just yet. I didn't get the chance to go to the Japanese store yesterday. I got too busy at work and all. I will try again soon though!

I finally figured it out! The box DOES indicate which figure you get. I just got an extra Terry the Kid today and I checked the box out. There is a black dot by Terry the Kid and all the dots next to the other characters are empty. Now I can find Mantaro without buying multiples again! :lol:

Just got the Japanese version of Ultimate Muscle on DVD in the mail yesterday! It's the first three episodes. I love it! Hope they continue releasing the entire show!

In this week's episodes: Dialbloik gets his attenna served to him Kid Muscle style and the Pumpinator shows himself to be a bad example of the dMp.

I loved these two episodes. It was cool seeing the devotion Wally has towards Mantaro and also cool to see that even with little "accidents" that happen in the ring, Mantaro can still come up with a plan to defeat his opponent.

The pissing scene was classic Kinnikuman! I want these figures state side now! :lol:

Hahaha! Cool! I never was into the pink guys myself. I really would like the articulated figs. I heard they're not even out in Japan yet! Crap. They were supposed to be out at the end of September too. Aw well, I hope they come out stateside.

It turned out that those pink little men is lucky draw held by the magz that publish the comic.. so yeah, they are RARE :cry:

 

I thought the figs are out.. my friend isn't able to go to TRU herself... but on TRU online already selling them.. I will read that site again tonite.

When I bought the comic at the local Japanese market it DID come with a Mantaro, but he was goldish yellow and not pink. I didn't like it too much so I had already thrown it away. :-?
