Wave 3 Review in ToyFare #63 - Cool Info!

They do a review of the wave 3 figures and some of the information is interested and cool!

 

Dr. Mindbender has a new medallion on his chest.

The dog with the Snow Serpent is actually "Order" just repainted.

Flint is now higher rank than Duke.

 

The most interesting and a must have...

 

The first 20,000 new Snake-Eyes will be in purple and gray decos. The rest will come in dull and shiny black and he looks awesome! I'll try and get a scan of it later to show! 8) I want them both!

Hasn't Flint always had a higher rank than Duke?

 

I mean, not really, but isn't he a warrent officer and Duke "just" a sergeant? Or is that higher anyway...? :-?

Yea... The exclusive is in the next issue which comes out in October... Have to wait a whole month before we can try and get 'em... :cry:

so it doesnt come out until the december issue of Toyfare? well that bites. the nov. issue is just hitting stands now. your right, i guess we have to wait another blasted month to get them...which sucks extra hard becuase then once you order them they take like 4 months to arrive :cry:

 

at least thats USUALLY how they work with delivering stuff.

What I liked about the article is that the Joes LOOKED like the Joes that were originally done. I haven't bought a single Joe vs. Cobra because they don't even hardly resemble the original Joes. In the Toyfare magazine though, Beachhead actually looks like Beachhead. Snakeeyes and Dr. Mindbender do as well too. Blowtorch doesn't however. I like that Hasbro wants to update it's Gi Joe line but don't change the look SOOO drastically. The Hiss tank sure doesn't resemble a Hiss tank to me!

I don't mind the waiting cause I need a small break from buying toys...

 

Collecting different toys does suck when you can't keep enough cash going... Next big thing for me this month is Movie Maniacs V and then Joes again in October... Oh Boy!

 

Time to change my signature again... Have to keep changing it so people don't keep using them for Avatars... :lol:

Outsiders iknow what you mean about saving money for the toys. im doing my best to totally cut spending on Simpsons, limiting myself to just MOTU and gi joe, with a couple Mcfarlane things here and there. my girlfriend is already saying we arent going to have a Christmas because im spending so much on MOTU right now :roll: . heh heh, women.

 

MGreen: i think hasbro wisened up after that first wave of JVC and are making them resemble old joes a bit more now. but altogether i think they are great.

Yeah guys a warrant officer is higher than a sergent anyday, you don't make that mistake. Warrant officers can pretty much do what they want, within reason.

Maybe Mattel noticed that wave 1 is coming out and stopped wave 2 short so this gives people time to get all of wave 1...

i think the little bit of wave 2 theyve let go was a mistake or somethng.

My KMart rarely gets the new MOTU so maybe I'll wait until some kid sells all the cards on Ebay... Think that is the only way I may ever get them...

ebay is a good idea. i didnt even think of that, of course i dont really have a desire to get the cards anyway. i will probly just pass on them. no need to buy the figs again just to get a little card.
