Well, this is kinda off topic, but that last topic was seriously screwed up or something... seemed like everyone's post was a double or triple post, and it said people replied and I could never read the replies... it was just in that "Another bad thing about JvC" thread. :-? Don't know why... okay, back on topic now... 8)

Stitches you are so wrong its painful

20 years from now people are going to look back at the first 2 waves of Joe Vs Cobra and think WHY DID I EVER BUY THOSE? Then realize they had new toy fever and feel stupid. Those toys will hold absolutely no secondary market value, because of 1> they are over produced and there is no demand for them even now. And 2> because they blow. :)

People will look back in 20 years and say Hasbro was really screwing up with the start of joe vs. cobra.

Im giving Hasbro the benefit of the doubt here, by leaving my prognosis open for future waves... :)

Allright since everybody is ripping GI Joe a new you know what in here, I figure that I need to say something about a line of toys that needs to be defended. Yes wave 1 is way overproduced and probably won't have a secondary market value, but I collect GI Joe because I love the figures, not for the price of what Duke v. CC will be in 10 years, I was one of those guys that keeps everything packaged and tacks it to my wall, but I opened the new JvC line and I loved them, yeah I have seen some Joes that have screwed up paint apps, but I DON'T BUY THE ONES WITH BAD APPS!!! Doesn't anybody examine the figs before they actually walk out of the store with them!!!! Yeah I love the Joes of old but its a new time now and its a new line, everybody needs to chill, and no I don't buy everything with the name GI Joe stamped on it to try and buy back my childhood, cause I refused to buy the Destro v. Gung-ho because of what they did to Destro, my friend had to buy it for me and then i still didn't want it. Yeah the future waves will be unreal, but let hasbro grow this baby b-4 we all kill the damn thing, if you think about the first joes that came out in 1984 were terrible so its a work in progress. WHEW that was a mouth full!

"Aw man who ever heard of being shot down by salad!"

I completely agree. Wave 1 is not the greatest bunch of G.I.Joe figures that I've ever seen, but neither are the 1984 series. I think that we sometimes forget that they are just toys and are meant to be fun. Sure, the GvC figures aren't perfect, but nothing is perfect. I can look at all of the G.I.Joe action figures ever made and find something that I don't like about them, but I don't. :)

Well, I have to disagree. I can't even compare any of the GvC stuff to the 85-86 joes. I find it hard to believe that anybody who was a fan of the old RAH series would think these new joes compare to the 85 and 86 years.

And how could you say that the RAH series is old and gone when Hasbro is still reproducing RAH figures repainted? Obviously it is not over, those figures are still more popular and will continue to be collected long after the GvC series is cancelled.

And in the future, please refrain from comments such as G** Damn. That is deeply offensive to some members.

LOL, you must be out of your mind if you think any JvC compare to 1984. Don't forget in 1984 we got Storm Shadow, Zartan, Firefly, Copperhead, omg this should not even be a discussion.

My sister had ALL the Strawberry Shortcake stuff.

Even after all this time I STILL have the smell of vinyl and strawberries engraved in my brain.

That little turtle that came with one of them was pretty cool though.

After seeing Care Bears re-issued I wouldnt be shocked to see those get the same treatment.

I wish we could get some MASK and Centurions re-issues. Maybe even new lines based on them.

To keep somewhat on topic, It looks to me Kenner intended MASK to be their answer to both GI Joe *AND* Transformers. Colorfull heroes and villains with vehicles that change. The Split Seconds hologram co-pilots were cool

Wow, I nearly fell out of my chair when I read that!!! I love MASK and Centurions!!! :D They were so great... remember 8 years ago or so, Cartoon Network was showing those Centurions eps? Man I miss that show... and the toys were cool too... and I agree, MASK was intended to be the answer to Hasbro... and a very well-made answer at that! ;)

Power x-treme! 8)
