  1. It was said back when the line first started by ToyGuru himself that they wouldn't be brick and mortar, because mattel didn't want a repeat of what happened with 200x. The problem was, the popular figures went first, leaving behind the pegwarmers and that meant that since they couldn't get rid of them, no new stock arrived and thus, the line died. Who knows if any other walmarts, zellars, targets, k-marts, ross or any other store like that may get them
  2. I'd have no problem with mattel selling MOTUC in stores, especially at a discounted price. The problem I have is that they have spread that many lies about the line and QC is that poor on many figures, it's hard to trust them at times. Besides, the rumours flying around is that MOTUC is pretty much done for after Castle Greyskull.
  3. Depending on how the figure turns out, anyone else smell a 1/6th scale John McClane custom?
  4. This is an interesting thing to happen, but as I posted in the other thread about it: I'm interested to hear what ToyGuru has to say now that he's been caught out lying to the community. For starters, he's repeatedly told us to act fast and buy them quickly, as once a figure is sold out, it's gone for good. And yet, that picture clearly shows that Mattel still has a few cases of Roboto and Gygor figures in their warehouse. Nice lie there ToyGuru. The second thing is that many fans have tried to return their broken Roboto figures after they'd broken and yet, they were turned away by Mattel. Again, they can turn away customers and fans with broken toys, demanding refunds and/or replacement figures, claiming they're sold out, but they have enough in stock to sell on to Walmart. Another lie from ToyGuru
  5. things were worse here in the UK. The bridge playset was released, but when the figures came out here, no figures came with bridge parts at all. It made the playset pointless.
  6. I wanna know how ToyGuru's gonna get outta this one when confronted. He said quite clearly that once a figure had sold out, that was it. Yet Mattel clearly have enough Roboto figures left in their warehouses to sell on to discount chain stores, despite ToyGuru claiming that Roboto and Gygor had completely sold out and there were none left. Same for many fans who'd bought Roboto toys from mattycollector.com and found their toy had broken, yet they couldn't get a new one or return the figure, yet that picture clearly shows that Matty have more than enough to give to walmart.

  8. Dunno if it's appropriate to post here, but anyway: I've got this new blog I've started. It's called Indy's Temple and I'll be covering pretty much everything in the world of Indy. From toys, to books, to the movies and even the TV series plus loads more. http://indystemple.blogspot.co.uk/
  9. There was more to Scramble City than just one part. It was the Japanese 5 part movie. As I said in my previous post, Toei somehow lost the remaining 4 parts, so they hastily cobbled together a 2nd part that was made up of toy commercial scenes that were overdubbed by the Japanese cast. It IS officially part 2, but again, like parts 2-5, it's in some Japanese TV show's warehouse somewhere for all we know, or in some collector's attic. If it was only one part, then why were Convoy and Megatron alive by the end of part 1, yet no longer around in 2010? Answer: Scramble City was to explain that
  10. There is. Scramble City was the 5 part cartoon made exclusively for Japan in place of the movie. It was designed to lead directly into 2010 (season 3 of the US toon) and would have the creation of Metroflex (Metroplex) and Dinosaurer/Dinobase (Trypticon), as well as the transition from Convoy and Megatron to Rodimus Convoy and Galvatron. However, most of Scramble City is now lost or destroyed for some reason and only part 1 has actually been found.
  11. The top one is british and rare as hell, the bottom link is the australian version. The UK version has nothing for it's special features which sucks, no trailers, no commercials, no TV spots...hell no interviews. The australian version has Scramble City, Flint Dille interview, TV Spots, Trailers, The Touch music video, Peter Cullen interview and a BW episode
  12. Picked this up from Memorabilia yesterday. Art was done by UK Comic artist Lee Bradley with colouring by Liam Shalloo. - £10 direct from Lee Bradley.
  13. More pics: Jacqueline Pearce Autograph (Serverlan from Blake's 7 and she was also Mrs. Annabelle Levi in Young Indy Chronicles, Paris 1916) - £15 Custom Indy cushion - £15 Complete set of KOTCS trading cards - £2
  14. I was at the UK Memorabilia Show yesterday at the NEC. Pretty damn awesome for a UK sci-fi, comics and collectors show. While there, (dressed as Indy no less), I got some Indy scores: 12" Cairo Swordsman and Mutt - £25 for the pair 1992 Horizon Vinyl Henry Sr model kit - £20 Handmade Fertility Idol (damn heavy too) - £10
  15. I went down to my local comic shop today as I'd heard that UK comic artist Lee Bradley was in town doing custom artwork for people, signing stuff and general meet and greet on stuff. I'd sent in a request on the comic shop forum for some Indy art. I was kinda expecting him to do some kind of generic, yet awesome Harrison Ford style art. However, when I got down there, he was working on my piece and this is it: he explained that he wanted to get into the character and show it. His art is always one off when done at cons.
