  1. Awesome, thanks. DTC Spirit's rifle seems to be the cheapest solution. Can anyone confirm this?

    Ok, Help...

A question, but first, the backstory... By the end of the newsculpt era, some amazing vehicles had finally come about. After suffering through The Battle Hornet and it's ilk, vehicles like the R.O.C.C., the R.H.I.N.O., and the DTC Cobra H.I.S.S. sparked my imagination in ways that hadn't happened since the 1980s. I didn't buy any of these vehicles during their original release, not because I didn't like them, but because I didn't know what I would do with them. I thought that the vintage figures looked outdated. The new sculpt figures were strangely proportioned and colored, and after my 19th repaint of a gangly Night Creeper, I threw in the towel on Joe Collecting. I wished for a newsculpt line of classic characters with sculpting that resembled the current Star Wars figures, with even more articulation. To that end, Hasbro delivered with the 25th series and I can't thank them enough. Now that I own these badboys (ignoring the fact that most of them can't sit without a dremel), I decided to go ahead and visit E-bay so that I could pick up my own R.O.C.C., R.H.I.N.O., and DTC H.I.S.S. to accomodate my beloved new troops. These vehicles are AWESOME, but the R.O.C.C. seemed a bit underarmed. With one gun turret on the trailer, and a missile rack on the cab, I could see this thing being taken down by Cobra pretty easily, killing the 17 troops I'd crammed inside (with a little customizing to the trailer). My first step was to beefing up the R.O.C.C.'s offensive capabilities was to obtain a second turret for the trailer through an online trade. Now my R.O.C.C. was a bit powered up, but I still wanted a gun on the cab for when the missiles ran out. There are hardpoints to install additional weapons all over the R.O.C.C. Many of the amply armed R.H.I.N.O.'s weapons can be used on these hardpoints. However, one hardpoint is considerably smaller than the others. This is the one on the gunner's station on the front of the cab where a figure can stand up, and right in front of the station is a small hardpoint which would be the perfect place to plug in a stationary machine gun. This is obviously what the smaller hardpoint is meant for, but no matter how hard I search online, I cannot find a weapon which will fit into this plug. Does anyone know something that I don't? I.E. Help me arm my R.O.C.C. with a machine gun for the cab. Please? Thanks in advance.
  3. You can paint chrome (and maintain it's "chromeness") by using clear glass paint. So if you used yellow glass paint on a silver chromed Destro head, then yes, it would become chrome gold. Would simple gold paint be shiney enough?? Here is a pic of mine (in Kill's pimp gear no less). I would think simple gold paint may be too flat. I am not a customizer though, so it is an innocent question.
  4. I'd buy it. But I'm a sucker for ninjas. I assume (hope) we'll get a ninja force 5 pack eventually. Prefferably with Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Slice, and a Night Creeper.
  5. After finally finding a 25th Zartan this weekend, I have closely examined the figure and found that beneath the black markings are...EYEBROWS! So it's definitely not a mask. It's either paint or a tattoo. I'm going with tattoo, as facial paint annoys me.
  6. Has there ever been a clear answer from cartoons or comics on what Zartan's facial "markings" are? Is it a mask? Is it warpaint? Is it a tattoo?
  7. I hate to say it, but do you live also live in the basement? :-P More Joes over girls number? You do realize she WORKS THERE? That means, she can hide product in the back for you, and all you have to do is put up with her annoying laugh, and occasionally take her on dates. Heaven forbid she be (like every girl I've ever "spent time with" that worked in a toy store) a freak in the bed... -Kevin As a matter of fact, I do live in a basement. I also found out that girl is indeed a freak in bed. I would have still taken the Joes over the girl in this case.
  8. I only have wave 1 so far. I went to 2 Targets, 2 Toys R Us's, 1 Walmart, and 1 Kaybeee last night. Kaybee was my last stop, and I scored a Shipwreck, a Stalker, and the telephone number of the girl who worked there. I would have preferred Zartan and a red ninja to the girl's number, but I'm not complaining.
  9. Joes: 1. Sci-Fi 2. Snake Eyes V3 3. Taurus 4. General Hawk 5. Low Light Cobra: 1. Tomax & Xamot 2. Copperhead 3. BATS 4. W.O.R.M.S. 5. Dr. Mindbender Joe Vehicles 1. Warthog (With Sgt. Slaughter) 2. Sharc (With Deep Six) 3. Skystriker (With Ace) 4. Wolverine (With Cover Girl) 5. Havoc (With Cross Country) Cobra Vehicles 1. Trubble Bubble (With Viper) 2. Hiss II (Dark Colors, with Track Viper) 3. Snake Armor (With Cobra Trooper) 4. Stellar Stilletto (With Star Viper) 5. Dreadknocks Thunder Machine (With Thrasher)
  10. Perhaps, but it would also insure that the bent ones would stick around on shelves long enough for a fan or a kid.
  11. Anyway, the point of the thread is to urge all fans to slightly ruin the cards of joes they don't want to deter scalpers.
  12. Bending up the cards=Killing scalpers. That's all I meant.
  13. It's my 31st birthday today, and all month my girlfriend has been trying to pick up waves 2 and 3 along with the Cobra Legions 5 pack to round out the Joes I'm still missing. She was ambitious enough to search out the DPCI numbers, and as she's not exactly hard on the eyes, the employees were very eager to help her. Unfortunately, NJ is sold out of Joes. An employee at Target told my girlfriend that the "collectors" (i.e. scalpers) at his store line up outside before opening at 8:00 a.m. Once the employees arrive and open the doors, the "collectors" physically fight over the Joes and Star Wars figures. GROWN MEN. Are you kidding me? GET A FRIGGIN REAL JOB! I grew up with GI Joe and would simply like to own one of each of these new guys. Could these scalper losers LET ME HAVE ONE FRIGGIN FIGURE?!?!?!?! Nope. According to the employee, this Target has been getting lots of Joes, but they sell out to scalpers as soon as they're stocked. Once I get Waves 2 and 3 for myself (if that EVER happens), I am going to mangle the cards of each remaining figure I see in stores. It's the only way to insure that these idiots will leave something in stores for real fans. Sorry to those of you who like to buy two of each (one to open, one to keep sealed). With the beautiful artwork on these cards I was planning on doing the exact same...However I can't even find ONE of each, so I'm planning on ruining cards all across NJ, and I urge you all to do the same.
  14. For those of you lucky enough to find wave 3 (I can't even find wave 2 yet), I have some Zartan Questions... 1. Does his neck change color too? Or is it just a green face, and a flesh colored neck? 2. I recall my original childhood Zartan changing to a deep blue color, the new one appears to turn green. Is that accurate that he's now green and no longer blue? 3. I've heard that the new Zartan changes color in the freezer. Does he still change in the sun as well? 4. Can anyone in the US confirm that they have a Zartan that does NOT include the color change feature? Or is this only a foreign variant? Thanks in advance for your replies.
