Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes Cartoon

I kinda lost interest during the first season, but as it hit its stride with season 2 it hit me how great a show this really was. I'd even go so far as to say this was the way all superhero cartoons should be done. Definitely taken off WAY to soon.

Totally agree on Avengers Assemble too. I can kind of take Spider-Man Unlimited, but its like I feel real physical pain when I try to watch 'Assemble.

Here's a question. Which Ultron do you prefer?

The classic robotic version that is portrayed in this show, or the James Spader, live action version?

I really don't like comparing apples and oranges like that, but I do think Ultron from EMH was better realized as far as adapting a comics character.

As for the AOU version? I thought he came off as a little generic, which actually made since. After all, the big conflict was occurring within the Avengers themselves, the big bad they were fighting was just a McGuffin. I don't expect the bad guy from Civil War will be handled any different.

There was a lot to love in that series. I'm a huge fan of the first 25 issues of Avengers, and they followed all that pretty closely. Which is a real soap opera of members coming and going, plus lots of Enchantress and Executioner. Really good stuff. Came to really like the art style too. The New Avengers episode was great fun.

They hit a lot of other big storylines from the comics too, and worked the Kree/Skrull war into it, with Ms Marvel and everything. Huge nods to old time Avengers fans all around. I miss it and agree that the new show is very much dumbed down.

Granted, I could do without the over-the-top bad comedy, but Assemble has one or two redeeming features. For instance, I kinda like the way they incorporate parts of the MCU into their back stories (ie. Cap and Hulk's origins, etc).

It's not up to EMH standards yet, but like Ultimate Spider-Man, it is SLOWLY improving over time.
