I know I've been hearing a lot of smack about this project, but I am excited for it. I like Snyder's work, and I am interested to see his take on this. I loved 300, Dawn of the Dead, and Watchmen, so I don't see a problem with Superman, maybe he can breathe some life into the franchise.

Me neither. But people gotta complain about something. I figure wait till you see the final product and complain if it sucks. Saves you having to do a lot of back tracking and eating your words if it's actually good. I know that sounds like crazy talk....:D

Personally, I know Superman in hand cuffs isn't what the 30+ year old fanboys were used to seeing in the Super Powers cartoon of their youth, so that right there will draw immediate complaints.

I am cautiously optimistic about the movie, although I was lukewarm on 300 and Watchmen. The only think I don't like about the new movie so far is that they are re-hashing Zod and his minions. I would've preferred other Superman bad guys besides them or Lex Luthor, honestly.

Tell him I said Hi and I hope his movie doesn't suck. I was always more of a Batman kid when it came to DC, but who doesn't love Superman? Communist, that's who!

The poster does nothing for me, as did the teaser trailer. Hopefully the first full trailer will get me a little more excited to see this.

Don't like it! he's missing his red trunks, he has gaunlets, the cape is too long, the texture of the costume looks off, the blue is too dark and he doesn't have the curl, I'm immediately filing this under: it's gonna suck.

P.S. This movie is not gonna be as great as the Dark Knight.

Lol! This is exactily what I mean! People just hate without seeing the finished project. It's like saying "your painting sucks" after just a few brush strokes. Artist are very picky over their works. Most of the time, they don't like showing a work in progress because of unfair conclusions that get made. Not sure if you are being serious or not Belmont, but you can't go into a movie with the thinking "it's gonna suck" or else you will never be able to get beyond that. Who knows, this movie could be awesome! Yeah they changed some things, but they "changed" things for the Batman movies, and those came out pretty nice.

So people will look at the poster and say "Why does he have cuffs on?"

Like it said in the article, either he is framed for something or is taking the fall for something, either way, its all in the "Good Guy Gets Arrested in Comics" handbook

Yeah, I was kidding, I'm actually interested in this movie, I have enjoyed the actor's previous work same with the director. I grew up with Superman cartoons I always had a soft spot for the character, it's just that whenever I visit a website or forum that has a superhero movie news that's the sort of thing I always read and I wanted to get it out of the way(unfortunately you can't successfully convey sarcasm on written words). My only complaint so far is that I wanted to see something that hasn't been done before in the villain department mainly I wanted to see Brainiac(my favorite Superman villain), especially since apparently Darkseid is gonna be the JLA movie villain.

Well, we're gonna have to wait and see why he's in cuffs, aren't we :). This reminds me of the early Dark Knight Rises pics with Catwoman on the batpod. People were beside themselves, "Why is Catoman riding the batpod?" they'd wonder out loud. "I don't get it..." Well, we saw the movie and all our questions were answered!

My guess is Zod and co. create some mischeif in the new movie, causing the human folk to be suspicious of Kryptonians and want to take them all into custody. Superman, being the nice guy he is, turns himself in willingly. Just a guess.

For the record, I have no problem with Snyder either. I only saw one of this movies (300) and just think it's a kick@$$ guy flick. Loved it.

I assume he's a voluntary prisoner considering the fact superman could easily escape regular military forces without breaking a sweat

You're overthinking it, he probably just robbed a convenient store or something.

Have they set a date for the first "real" trailer for the movie? I'm dying for some for some footage that isn't boats and playgrounds or whatever. Honestly my only problem with the movie so far is that it's not an origin story I really wanted to see again. Still haven't seen the new Spider-Man for the same reason. But I can't blame the film for that.

I don't want to see ANY origin story again. We get it. We know where all these guys came from! I don't want the same story with a slightly modern twist. Instead, tell a NEW story with a slightly modern twist. (Sorry, retelling the origins of any superhero strikes a nerve.)

Really, this. I wish they could just jump into some of these movies. If you closely think about it, if they had just shown you Avengers, just the way it was presented, without ANY of the precursor films, would that have taken away from it at all? I think something like that would be neat. :)

And yeah, getting a bit tired of Zod and Lex. Supes has such an awesome rogues', that none of the GA knows about....

Not my ideal poster, but I think Cavill really pulls the superman look off. He looks the part to me.

From what internet rumbeling i have seen the cuffs are a part of your government not trusting superman. Maybe because zod is here befor superman shows who he is or some sort of zod attacking us and superman showing himself but because there both from krypton we don't trust supes so the army cuffs him to interagate him kinda deal.

IGN said this was the best movie poster of the year. I think they're trying to make us think they're smarter than they are by giving this thing a lot of credit it doesn't deserve.
