I saw that Wal-Mart is selling Man of Steel movie tickets on Saturday morning for a showing on June 13th. I was wondering if anyone cares for this showing one day earlier than the opening day besides if they have midnight showings that night. Personally, I do not plan on seeing this movie cause Henry Cavill does not look like superman and because Snyder changed the iconic costume and I hate the new look.

Henry Cavill doesn't look like Superman? Are you drunk? Sometimes you have to change things for the movies. Batman doesn't wear his gray and black/blue cloth costume in the movie. George Reeves didn't look like Superman. Neither did Routh IMO. I was not happy with the costume at first but it has really grown on me. Give it a chance.

I just hate the fact the superman costume was changed for this movie. Batman has multiple costumes. Apples and oranges.

I get that but to condemn a movie because of a suit just doesn't seem right. Also you really think he doesn't look like Superman?

I won't go see it till it's been out for a few days or even weeks, so a day early wouldn't mean anything to me.

I'm taking my son to see it the Monday after it opens. There's a local theater that has $5 shows on Monday.. yeah, I'm cheap, lol.

"every scene is epic." - Sigh...yup, stupid right from the mouth of ole Sucker Punch

I don't like how they talk up this reinvention as if the other Superman movies lacked humanity, depth, and viewer connection/identification

"never been done before" - keep writing those checks that you'll never be able to cash

Loved the last trailer, hate this behind the scenes...One step forward, two steps back...

Ok, Cavill kinda looks like superman but we don't need another origin story. Most fans love the original movie or smallville as the origin story and do not want 45 minutes of the movie of telling the origin of superman. I know some fans like me love both the first movie and smallville tv series. I know I want to see a continuation story not an origin story so Snyder can change the suit. I might see it on dvd in October maybe when I take my vacation:)

I guess Snyder never saw the tv series Smallville. What a dumbass. I hope this movie bombs. And by the presence of 5 people buying a grand total of 13 tickets for the showing on that Thursday June 13th at 7pm from that walmart I go to. I think this movie is not going to do well. By the way the 13th of June is game 4 of the NBA Finals. The movie I am intrigued about is the Lone Ranger in July. It is looking better and better.

This is a new start in the movieworld for superman. Smallville or returns has nothing to do with it. Every franchise needs a new origin to start over again. Thats not new.

I really have to see something impressive to be even remotely interested in seeing the Lone Ranger film...

Sorry to say Reeves is done. Cavil will blow him out of the water. This movie will be great and hopefully lead us to a JL movie. Smallville wasn't all that great. It messed up alot and changed things to help the story move along better. Not to mention Superman Returns sucked.

I can find some moments in returns but smallville was just lame for me. As with manny people reeves is the best superman ever but that is over 30 years ago. The audience of today wants more. I look forward to man of steel because have enough of superman fighting guys with guns and suits. Supermans costume looks like the new52 version. Comic isnt great but the new design isnt bad either. In the end its just personal opinion like always but i will be there the first day it hits in my country :-D

I know you, me and a lot of other REGULAR comic readers might feel the same way. But this movie is also being done for the NON comic book fan. People who have not seen, or don't remember, the 30 + year old movie or the Smallville TV show. I certainly remember the origin of Superman but it's been a long time since we've seen it at the movies. We've seen a Batman origin at the movies twice in 16 years, Spider-Man's in a span of 10. We can see Superman's again.

Speaking of Smallville, you want them to basically retire Superman in live action because Christopher Reeve (a great Superman indeed) is no longer with us? What about Welling? In fact, I'm not sure there's going to end up being a huge difference between Smallville and MOS anyway. Both are retellings of a classics story, you're going to see some modern twists to it, but the essence is going to remain the same (most likely). You seem OK with Smallville but you don't want to give MOS a chance? Smallville didn't feature the classic Superman costume either. Thanks to the cop-out in the last episode, all we know about the Smallville super suit is that it had an "S" and was blue and red.

I would not be wishing for this movie's failure. Whether or not you're going to see it, the future of DC at the movies (anything beyond Batman at least) rides on this movie doing well.

fettman, I'm not going to try and change your mind and you're certainly free to do what you want. You just had some points that were interesting to me and I wanted to respond.

I agree with YoJoe, I liked Smallville, but could care less about some of the high School drama parts of it. I already watched Dawson's Creek, I didn't need to see it with Dawson with superpowers. If you want to get nit picky about costumes.. wasn't it odd that Clark always wore red and blue shirts and hoodies in Smallville?

Yeah the old Superman movies were good, for their time. It's time we closed that book and opened a new one, with modern technology and costumes that look like super hero costumes and not underoos(I'm sorry, but come on.. you have to admit the Reeves costumes were pretty lame looking).

Thank you for posting that behind the scenes video Feat, now I want to see it even more. Can't wait!

I think Reeves pulled off the look pretty well but Iam getting used to Superman without the undies on the outside. Thanks to the new movie and New 52.....really the costume tweaks aren't that drastic. Unfortunately I haven't been able to read the actual comic since New 52 Clark has been turned into a hipster. But I'm sure DC will keep trying and hopefully come up with something that works @supes@

I'll definitely be going opening night. We need a big showing for JL, GL2 and other DC movies!
