DC rejuvenated their entire comics universe in 2011 when they released their bold New 52 experiment. Although less heralded, they did the same thing for their animated universe the same year with the introduction of the Young Justice cartoon. While fans may have complained about both reboots — the loss of Bruce Timm’s long-running DC animated universe was hard to swallow at first — Young Justice’s outstanding animation, great characterization, and its fresh look at the DC universe won over almost every viewer… and then DC killed it.

It's okay man, let it go. It was an okay show, but something better will come along eventually.

... and when it does, maybe it won't screw up Superman.

It was much better than "an okay show".

mako, have you liked anything other than the comic books when it comes to the DC Universe (films and cartoons and such)? I honestly can't remember any post of yours saying you liked any film, cartoon, or animated movie that's been released to date, but obviously I probably haven't seen all your posts/opinions.

I'm not picking a fight or anything, either. I'm actually curious to know if you have liked any of them.

I only was able to catch it on YouTube or at the gym, but it was a great show!! It took me back to my youth of great animated cartoons that were not stylized and written well!!

Why end something that's going we'll??

CN LOVES doing this

I remember when they did this to Justice League and Megas XLR they seem to get rid of the good shows and replace it with crap

I think the new CGI Batman will be ok but have you seen the new version of Teen Titans? It looks like the same animation as the Power Puff girls

I will also miss Green Lantern I loved that show

I got up with my little girl one Saturday morning and caught an episode, along with an episode of Green Lantern, and I loved both. Too bad they're being cancelled. I'd sure like to have the DVD and/or Blu-ray sets.

I'll cop to not being as fond of the show as I used to be, but it was a good show. I enjoyed it.

What sucks is that the ONLY first-run animation representing the DCU now is gonna be Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go.

Thank God we still have the DVDs. Lets see CN put those on hiatus.

If there was one show I'd love to be revived, it'd be MegasXLR.

I want to see them all revived. Just an entire network of nothing but CN throwaways.

Yeah, CN really turned a corner with this one. It wasn't bad enough to just cancel our shows, now they have to bastardize them into some half-@$$ed Adventure Time knock-off.

One can only dream! Thundercats and more Justice League Unlimited would make my day.

thundercats, justice league, young justice and green lantern would make my day, I think nick/hub is more successful with cartoons though tformers did get cut short and it was a great show as well

I never really got into The Batman or The Brave and The Bold and I tried watching Green Lantern and was planning on getting into Young Justice, but now in the end I'm happy that I didn't get into any of them. Considering that they make these cartoon and don't have any faith in them, I've pretty much given up trying to get into decent cartoons now a days. The moment something doesn't look quite right, they get their panties in a twist and cancel it.

I've still never gotten over them canceling Justice League Unlimited. Probably never will.

So I was just browsing Target and came upon the DC animated DVDs. I saw Young Justice season one vol 1--$10. Season one vol 2--$10. Season one vol 3--$10. And then a three disk set of season one vol. 1, 2, and 3--$10?!?!?!!? Um....OK, I guess I'll go with that one.

I've always been interested in watching this show and this seemed like a good deal. Question is, how many episodes are there? How many DVDs are out as of right now?

If you got the 3-pack, then you have the first half of season 1.

You also need:

Young Justice: Dangerous Secrets (the final 14 episodes of season1)

Young Justice: Destiny Calling (First 10 episodes of season 2)

and that should get you ready for Young Justice: Game of Illusions (final 10 episodes of season 2 and the series @grumpy@ ), which streets in early July.

I love when they make all the small sets to get you to buy the same episodes twice...
