Not familiar with either version, since they are UK releases.

The top one is british and rare as hell, the bottom link is the australian version. The UK version has nothing for it's special features which sucks, no trailers, no commercials, no TV spots...hell no interviews.

The australian version has Scramble City, Flint Dille interview, TV Spots, Trailers, The Touch music video, Peter Cullen interview and a BW episode

There is. Scramble City was the 5 part cartoon made exclusively for Japan in place of the movie. It was designed to lead directly into 2010 (season 3 of the US toon) and would have the creation of Metroflex (Metroplex) and Dinosaurer/Dinobase (Trypticon), as well as the transition from Convoy and Megatron to Rodimus Convoy and Galvatron. However, most of Scramble City is now lost or destroyed for some reason and only part 1 has actually been found.

There was only ever one part. There was a commercial called Scramble City that some people confuse as being a stop motion sequel of sorts, but it's really not.

There was more to Scramble City than just one part. It was the Japanese 5 part movie. As I said in my previous post, Toei somehow lost the remaining 4 parts, so they hastily cobbled together a 2nd part that was made up of toy commercial scenes that were overdubbed by the Japanese cast. It IS officially part 2, but again, like parts 2-5, it's in some Japanese TV show's warehouse somewhere for all we know, or in some collector's attic. If it was only one part, then why were Convoy and Megatron alive by the end of part 1, yet no longer around in 2010? Answer: Scramble City was to explain that

I was always curious if the blu ray versions were any different than the 20th anniversary special DVD?? I know blu ray is better than DVD, but i am just curious if these blu rays were even more crisp than the DVDs we got that were remastered?

What you are saying could be true, but there's nothing that I can find to support it, so it's seemingly just a theory. No offense, but I get the impression that you are taking hearsay as fact.

Point me in the direction of 1) Evidence to suggest there were more than what we know was aired (the supposed part 1). I know that it was the intention of Scramble City to "connect the dots" to the movie.. but intention does not mean they produced the whole thing.

2) Evidence that the toy commercial was "officially" part 2. Again, I can't find anything concrete aside from "He tell me" stories. I also read that the commercial is mistaken as the second part. Sooooo, not much to go on here either way to be honest.

because Hasbro felt it wans not needed.

In the US, the audience was introduced to the new characters, U;tra Magnus and others, with the movie.

The Japanese Market did not get the movie till a few years later.So, the idea was to create a few episodes to slowly introduce the Japanese kids to the new characters.But Takara only made 1 episode...Scramble city

can you back that up?

From what I understand, the plan was to make more episodes, but they never went into production.
