Ok This has happened to some of us here..Who here will hide there finds from a loved one when you get home from work or wherever.

I sometimes have to sneak things up and I have this satchel I use for my job and allways hide my figures in that.With items shipped to me I have to be upfront because I can't hide those

haha reminds me of the days when I had to sneak in Playboys. Well w/my exes from the past, yes my toyz were an issue. They couldn't see how I could spend so much on lil plastic men and robots (when I should be buying a car) or maybe funding a trip to godknowswhere. I had to keep most of my collecting in boxes and out of the conversation, like daddy's dirty little secret hidden away in the basement forced to eat a steady diet of cold darkness and spam. I even felt ashamed at feeling passionate about finding that last figure to complete a line collection or not finding store exclusives. They just couldn't see how much those lil plastic men brought me joy. If I got anything then I would say it was from my moms or sisters at birthdays or xmas, and sadly I would play it off as if it was not that important to me. I missed out on most of the POC GI joe line cause I didn't have the money and my ex didn't approve. I even heard her say to her friend "only bad thing about him is he buys toys". That was one of many things that started the end of that relationship. I never complained about her bad habits or lame passions. I accepted and lived. I dreaded hearing the "you should sell your stuff, do you know how much money we could get for that stuff", never once did I tell her we should sell your crappy cd collection or your halfwitted child. I took this all in stride and settled on the fact that maybe I was in the wrong or just a lil off kilter. But with every cloudy day there is a sun above all the floating masses of gray moisture above . My GF now is the bomb, she loves hunting and enjoys my collection too. She supports me and my habits as well as I support hers. We are clearance junkies but we don't go overboard, we share the wealth w/our families and friends. Life is strange like that one day things just seem to make sense and you have woman who sympathizes w/you at not having a fair shake at finding Renegades Stormy or who goes on a business trip and in her spare time she calls me from Target or Ross asking if I have this or that? So I remember the hard days at bringing toyz in w/my lunch box or "keeping" stuff at my sis's house til the time was right to bring it over. haha *Dream Sequence* There's a checkpoint and I'm in line. I'm next as sweat runs down my brow. I can see my exes in Nazi uniforms poking the hay-fork at my wagon and carded waves of Joes or Transformers falling out on the ground. I pick up what I can and run at the shock of being discovered. They yell stop and as I run frantically spilling the carded toys every which way. "stop" & a single shot rings out as I fall w/ arms spread out like an I'm crossing a finish line........We are who we are and our families don't have to like what we do but they have to put up with what were passionate about (just as long as it's legal). I know I could be out there doing much worse things than collecting toyz. So just as long as the toys don't outnumber the population of China then they shouldn't trip on that. I don't chastise my woman at how many pairs of shoes she owns or how much jewelry she owns but doesn't seem to wear. So yes maybe now and then I'll break the news slowly about how much I spent on Amazon or Matty but if it becomes a problem, its who I am and I am what yada yada..........if someone who loves you can't accept what brings some of your happiness then maybe they need re-assess their interest in you...........

LOL I'm lucky that TRU has layaway or I couldn't get the MP-10 Optimus Prime

I've been very fortunate in this regard...my wife has been very understanding over the years, so I've never felt the need to hide things like that from her. In fact, she's been known to buy me things when I least expect it. Now I do try to stick to a budget, and I do go over from time to time. And yes, she reminds me when I do; I think that duty is somewhere in the vows actually. (lol)

My wife isn't a collector per se, but she does get it to an extent. So no...I don't feel the need to hide anything from her. I may drive her crazy hunting all over creation for stuff and talking about it though.

Since Joes have Retreated as of late my GF said the other night I actually miss Hunting Joes w/you. I still keep and eye out for CVS's and Walg's I found 2 Jungle bats awhile back and hope to find Hawk or Money Bags Destro. They will be mine oh yes....The thrill of the hunt is awesome.....

Na, I don't really hide it from her. At first I did, more for not wanting to be judged about how much I spend on figures, but that was years ago. Now she asks who he is and what is he from. There were times when my numbers were a LITTLE off, but that was back in the old Marvel Legends days. If anything she wants to know how much I spent so she won't feel bad telling me how much she spent (Forever 21)

I am trying it most often now , I love buying figures but my mom is giving heck.I am a grown ass man and I can buy what I want.You know what she said to me ,is my father is so worried about me he might have a heart attack. Seriously because I buy toys.

or she makes the bad guys the Retailers.I usually buy what I wanted it.

LOL I found Kup today at Walmart ..Yes I was out early doing some grocery shopping at Walmart

I had to sneak it in ..I maybe an adult but my mother thinks buying one figure will leave us broke

Well I got the rest of my Matty Shipment on Saturday, tonight as my GF was wrapping the presents we bought our loved ones. She needed a box to wrap up a gift for one of her grandkids. So I volunteered the box I was storing my He-min in for now. I just told her just put them on the kitchen table for now. haha she started to stack them & do a running count ouch, then she did some math that wasn't asked for. She smiled and said how much did you pay for all of this? I just replied I know but I gotta great deal on all of it so I'm not too worried about it. Hell had they had the sale in May I still woulda taken advantage. I'm already preparing for next years sale at this point. I'm not gonna lie I have some elf sized guilt about buying more than half of the Masters, it seemed to be a bigger universe than I remembered too. But I owned it and those special lil guys complete some small part of my giant sized soul so I'm okay I still pay the bills and the costs to be the boss. Anewayys I hid my toyz in plain sight, she just couldn't seem them cause we have xmas stuff all over my tiny apartment......

Thankfully I left that all behind me years ago! Sneaking in toys was the norm back in high school 'cause my dad thought they were useless. 'Course...toys increased in number because I displayed them in my room, so it's not like I could pull the wool over his eyes.

Anyway, my wife buys just as much stuff as I do, though she doesn't collect as many toys as she used to. I pretty much show her everything I buy because I like showin' things off. Plus, with regular MotUC figures coming in every month...well, that would be hard to hide!

So yeah, no sneaking for me anymore.
