Hiya,

I was just wondering what everybody here thinks of this show. Although I am generally a fan of most comic-book cartoons I dunno about this show. It feels very jumpy and sporadic. Maybe it will get better but it's hard for me to watch and I can't place why at the moment.
I would love to love this show but I'm on the fence right now...

Of the current crop of Super Hero toons on right now it is easily the worst of the lot. I think a lot of the problems lie with the line being heavily blurred between how Peter Parker acts as Peter Parker and as Spiderman. It appears to be something of a Batman Brave and the Bold rip off as well. It just doesn't stand up well with either the toons that had just ended (BatB, Wolverine and the X-men, Spectacular Spiderman) or the ones that it is running with now (Green Lantern, Young Justice, Iron Man, Avengers, and even Thundercats and Legend of Korra) In my opinion they would have been much better off finding a way to continue Spectacular Spiderman which once you got past the animation was a far superior show. Unless the quality goes way up much like The Batman did, I don't see it lasting much past this season.

I mean yes I agree it is the worst super hero toon out right now, but the last one with Taskmaster was really good I have to admit. I just wish they would learn a thing or two from Young Justice

i watched the first episode and then have not watched anything else ... the entire thing with the bike just made me roll my eyes as well ...

I am watching it because it only takes 22 minutes of my time and usually I have it on while doing something else... but I am not a big fan. I like the animation, but the stories are pretty bad, and the characterization is worse.

I really don't like his group of friends. It just seems incredibly odd for those characters to be together.. and I also don't like how they made Ironfist, powerman, and nova into children...

and things like Tony Stark just meeting Spidey and making him a suit and then Spidey somehow modifies it and then the suit goes crazy.. just not very cool.


I will never be able to understand why they didn't just make a cartoon like Avengers EMH for Spiderman. that would have been great (although I do prefer the animation for Spiderman over the blocky cartoony Avengers)


and yeah.. Young Justice is soooo much better

Not my favorite show (I agree wholeheartedly with the Young Justice love) but it's not a bad way to waste 22 min to me. I've chuckled a bit, but I'd love a more serious take and that's coming from someone who mourned the loss of Brave and the Bold. That last episode with Batmite was a heck of a send off.

Tried watching it last week and it was awful. I liked seeing Powerman and the others on TV but Spiderman was the worst of the bunch, lame over attempts at humor just didn't work and it was actually very boring.

The latest episode wasn't too bad because I liked seeing The Task Master, but overall I'm not a fan. I think the series would be great if based more on Spidey's classic stories and dropping the idea of having him team with other Superhuman teenagers.

The lame comedic aspects and the jumpiness also are a turn-off for me, but I do enjoy the animation very much.

There are far better cartoons on TV right now though, with The Avengers: EMH(which follows it on Sunday), Young Justice, Green Lantern(aside from the CGI) and Thundercats.

I haven't checked this one out but now I'm not even interested, I finished watching Avengers EMH yesterday and man that's a good series. Young Justice it's awesome and the animation is the best I just wished it featured more of the adults than the teens but it's still great and the animation is the best right now.

yeah, I wish they would make a Justice League show that is just like Young Justice

Spectacular Spider-Man was a much better cartoon don't get me wrong I think USM is entertaining but flawed too much like Teen Titans. And if the rumors are true that they are cancelling Avengers EMH to make a Avengers toon in the USM world....UGH!!!
