My wife likes MLP, but Im not much of a fan. They look cool I guess, well some of them do. We watched an episode too since it's on netflix. Maybe if I had a daughter I could watch it with her, but from what I saw it wasn't anything special.

It would seem Tony Kornheiser is a fan. I saw a Pony on his part of the desk during PTI.

I like this show. Applejack is totally my fave!
I like it because not only is it better written than other MLP cartoons, but it's also just funny. It sometimes feels like a parody of itself. That and Lauren Faust (Craig Mccracken's wife)and Rob Renzeti (My life as a Teenage Robot) are behind it. That's enough for me

Hell the farthest I have gone watching a "girls" show would be Jem...I just miss that kind of animation and know its from the 80's get me but,buy they toy? Hell no
I used to think the same way about She Ra but changed since then.....This in a way are like the girls who like Starscream they can't explain it but they just do
jem was a decent show. i use to watch it growing up. i love that old school animation too.
if guys like this new MLP thats fine, but like many others, i have no earthly clue why they go bonkers over it. deviantart is flooded with MLP stuff, its redonculous!

Its not the same a girl liking Transformers is cool but a guy buying a toy made for little girls its weird...
You collect toys so you are weird. Telling other people they are more weird does not make you any less so.
I decided to catch a few eps of this show when I heard it was done by the same people as Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. It is a pretty cool show.
I even bought a few ponies when I heard they had made Nightmare Moon.

I think that's the point Artistrix is making. It's all relative, we're all "weird," so maybe it's best if we don't judge others too harshly if their collecting habits differ from yours or mine, lest we be judged by those who think they know what's best for us. =)

I was in Walmart today and saw they had Pony figures for $4 each. Meanwhile,Star Wars figures are still at $10 each. Sheesh. No wonder guys collect these.
