Thanks for the RE link. As for the SF/MK different versions and revisions, I already knew all that haha. I was speaking about the arcade games for MK. And for SF, I was talking about arcade and console versions. Thanks for all the info though. Back in 1995 I always wanted the 3DO system, just to be able to own "Super SF II X/Turbo"... That was the only system at the time that had that game.
I too sill have my dreamcast, I got the Japanese version in early 1999. I still have Code Veronica both SE and X versions, Blue Stinger, Marvel Vs Capcom 1 & 2, Power Stone, Biohazard 2 value plus with the CV demo, King of Fighters 2000, and Zombie Revenge, etc.
Did you ever own the TurboGrafx-16, or the Colecovision?
Sorry if im coming off as a know it all stating obvious info or common info. I dont think i realized what you were talking about and just nerded out on the topic of what you were saying haha. Yeah i wanted the 3DO only for the arcade perfect ports of some of my favorite fighters like primal rage, mk3, sf2 X, and some other random fighters that were exclusive to the system at that time.
I have about 12 actual copies of games and then i have about, well lets just say too many other games that arent actual copies... yeah i was a pirate back then... i regret it now since my favorite system suffered for it.
I never owned either but when i was younger a friend of mine had a TGfx16 and i loved playing bonks adventure on it.... whats funny is i actually own both as apps on my phone.... as well as intellivision, Mame, Commadore 64, and a few others. Amazing how far technology has come.
Haha hey man its cool, no harm done. There's always something new to learn from sharing info, just like you showed me that BH/RE short CG movie which I never saw before. Yea that's the same reason that I wanted a 3DO too. That system had a really short shelf life, but I think that the Virtual Boy takes the prize under the "Systems Gone Too Soon or Not Fast Enough" category... I'm kind of behind on technology... I still dont own a PS3 or an Xbox 360, even though I own games for both systems... Im a huge game collector myself, and still have my Nintendo, SNES, Gameboy, Game Gear, Sega Saturn, N64, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, and Game Cube.. I have factory sealed versions of games for each systems... For every game that I buy, I usually purchase a copy to keep sealed...
Here's a few of the sealed games from my collection:
all the Biohazard and Resident Evil games to date, (except for the Pal editions, the Gun Survivor games, Gaiden, and game com RE2)
Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival (GBA)
Mega Man 3 (nes)
Mega Man 7 (snes)
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (snes)
all the Saint Seiya games for famicom and PS2
all the Hokuto No Ken games for famicom, super famicom, mega drive, ps1, and the arcade version for ps2
Killer Instinct 2/Gold
Mortal Kombat (snes)
Mortal Kombat Trilogy (N64)
WCW/nWo: World Tour (both the american version, and the japanese version with Bas Rutten and bunch of other wrestling and mma fighters) (N64)
Both Zelda games for N64
Street Fighter Alpha (the original long box version for PS1)
Marvel Super Heroes (PS1)
All the Tekken games
all the Bloody Roar games
Metal Gear Twin Snakes
Rockman & Bass (Super Famicom)
Scarface (Xbox)
All the Star Wars games for Snes
Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi
Fighting Force for PS1 (remember that piece of crap...)
Samurai Showdow 3 (PS1)
King of Fighters 95 (Saturn)
K-1 World Grand Prix 2005 (PS2)
Triple Play 98 (PS1)
All Star Baseball 99 (N64)
Fight Club (Xbox)
And many more... The thing that sucks about collecting (or "hoarding" for some), is the storage fees... But that's the price which one has to pay I guess, for collecting so much crap...
