Believe it or not the money...In 2014 the new tax code for MLB teams hit and they are trying to come in under so they can pass without paying around $100 million in taxes. If it wasn't for that they might of gotten Darvish.Thats why they were pennypinching last winter and they will be like this till 2015 when they can be their old selves again

Well they don't want to pay the high tax and after they pass it they can spend like crazy again till the next tax thing comes up

man.. derek Rose is out for the rest of the year with a torn ACL. That sucks for any fan of the NBA. Now the Heat should walk into the finals.

That would be sad if his career ended trying to catch a ball...

Right now its up to him He did hint that this might be his last year but he might not want to go out like this either

UPDATE

Mariano says he doesn't want it to end like this and sees coming back next year

Chris Davis becomes the first position player since 1968 to get a win. Also only the second player to go 0-8 at bat and pick up a win as a pitcher.

Ok what happened and who does he play for?

I hate this back in the day I knew where everybody played but turnover is so great now I have really lost track

Davis plays for the Orioles. He is an outfielder and the game went WAY into extra innings. He was 0-8 at the plate, but came in and pitched the last 2 innings for the O's. He was a closer in college, so it's not like he hasn't pitched before

Yeah,it was against the Red Sox. I think the Red Sox were using a guy who doesn't normally pitch either.

It was 4 two-runs HR's so it wasn't just solo shots... Amazing...

MLB wants to do away with trick plays. Like when an infielder pretends to throw back the ball to the pitcher when he's actually holding onto it. Is this really that big of a problem that they need to ban this?

Nitpicking aren't they? Hell if they want to do that then have the pitcher stop throwing over to first about 50 times then

Found out the exact play they want to ban. They want to do away with the fake throw to third, then throw the ball to first base.

I stand corrected on the Bulls. I didn't expect Noah to go down as well. The Heat shouldn't have any problems getting back to the Finals.
